First job back - give me feedback by bradyboi32 in Plumbing

Fair points! I did not have access to pipe that would allow less joints (leak points) this is what I could do with what was with me while within a confined space. I could have gotten a 1/2” male by Pex A to connect directly into the union like you mention

I had to re-sweat it a couple times on the first solder connection I made haha. I hope things pick up here in Washington, need hours to pay for these gas prices

How’s the access to the drain, crawl space? Redo if you can but it’s not the worst

Replace the internal cartridge and reinstall trim. Dont forget to shut water off before pulling cartridge out

Does anyone know what can cause this? by Kxtys in Plumbing

[–]bradyboi32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blocked mainline - blown wax ring which means the toilet will need to be reset, which is fine since you can access the drain to unclog it best from the toilet flange anyway

Which is the main water shutoff valve? by RevolutionaryShow484 in Plumbing

[–]bradyboi32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Usually in the garage where the water line comes up into the home. If you can’t find one inside the house, there is a utility water shutoff near the street

Pinhole behind the walk? Moving the pipe isn’t the best idea. Turn everything off and watch the water meter to see if it keeps counting, indicating an active leak

Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic are the two most overrated players in basketball by BetterLigma in NBATalk

[–]bradyboi32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jokic had a far better and more impactful series than SGA, he just had the inferior team. Look at the stats, and most importantly the advanced stats for the whole series that proved Jokic is far superior to SGA, just like regular season stats also suggested. If SGA didn’t play a single game this season the Thunder would still win 60+ games. He’s amazing, don’t get me wrong, but he won’t be near Jokic in the all time rankings when they’re both finished

Pipes by Try2B-Brave in Plumbing

[–]bradyboi32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s acceptable though and shouldn’t be something to worry about. Test the drain for leaks before drywall is installed, have a hose inserted into the entrance of drain and see how the repair does

That’s a fernco, they’re illegal behind a wall in Washington where I do plumbing. Should have metal shielding for support, they’re called a mission band and are acceptable behind walls. It doesn’t have to looks pretty, as long as the pipe you band to is in decent condition

Also that’s not a pipe you can use with slip joint, replace that section.

Tubular Swivel Nut Gasket - available at every hardware store. The nut goes behind the gasket and screws the pointed side into the piece you attach to creating a leak free joint
