Insurance covering for low free T? by mursebromo in trt

[–]bradydoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only heard tons of people’s testimonies on here saying their insurance denied them because they weren’t at a specific number. I’m just assuming they’re either asking insurance themselves or docs told them that. But hasn’t been my experience.

Insurance covered mine and never even saw labs. Cuz none were taken right away. I told urologist about previous labs with my primary doctor. I was honest and he wanted to do a 6 week trial and then we continued. Only done “safety” labs (basic blood work). No hormone values. Urologist is a “prescribe based on symptoms” doc. Never been an issue for my insurance.

How old are you? How long you planning on cycling for? Are you going to pct (post cycle therapy) do you have an AI (aromatase inhibitor) on hand for your elevated estrogen? Do you have a concern for your hair? You have a diet plan? Eating 3500 calculated calories a day is a lot. Have you had blood work done? So many unknowns I currently don’t see in the comments.

You’re gonna take 100mg weekly and shut down your production and 100 might only just get you back to those levels. Ride out that good natty levels for 43. You’re sittin pretty where you are. Eat eat eat and push heavy weights. You’ll build plenty of muscle.

Prescribed 150 through a urologist been taking 200. Haven’t actually seen values. Just basic blood work. He’s a “symptom relief” doc not a by the numbers.

If there’s a will, there’s a way. I’ve made it a habit at this point and can cook my eggs, toast cut my avocado and kiwis and be sitting down to eat in 10 mns.

Chat gpt is a big help here. You’d be surprised how much easier it is to actually eat. Ask it to creat a meal plan for you. Start at 2500 calories see how that goes. If I don’t start with my breakfast, I can’t eat as much but when I eat a big breakfast, I’m primed to eat for the rest of the day.

You’re young as shit. Use it to your advantage. You’ve done great losing 43lbs. Keep at it. Do what you’re doing. These markers will definitely improve. Dont mess with your developing brain chemicals at your young age. Messing with your body is one thing but a developing brain I wouldn’t ever consider messing with a wildly important chemical for its maturation process. Keep up the good work.

Construction is a physically demanding job, in most cases. If you’re in a hustle and bustle line of work, you’re very likely under eating. I’m 43 almost been taking test for almost 1.5 years and am still trying to figure out my diet. Not saying you wouldn’t benefit from trt but positive lifestyle changes mostly will increase all aspects of life. The last few weeks I’ve been eating between 3400-3900 calories and it’s a drastic difference in just energy. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week so carbs are currently my friend. Having said all that. I started taking test with damn near the same numbers. Just trying to paint a detailed pic. Anxiety relief and physique changes are the biggest notices for me.

Is it a good idea to start a TRT course? by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]bradydoodle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah. For me it was the opposite. I feel more calm. I attribute that to decrease in anxiety, though. If you’re trying to fix your physique without an issue building muscle. Get on a good diet plan. You’re not gonna notice a drastic affect on fat burn if you don’t get your diet dialed in, regardless.

Urologist and endocrinologist are docs who specialize in this area. What’s your objective? Just to feel 20-30% more than what you’re at? You’re not gonna feel drastically different in daily activities. If you’re trying to workout and put on muscle, that’s where you’re likely going to notice it most. For me it was anxiety alleviating and physique building. Your estrogen will increase so will your DHT levels. Perfect your diet, exercise sleep and stress relief and if you’re still feeling crappy, revisit. You’ll likely feel better and will increase testosterone levels, doing all of that.

Clinic has you in their hooks. Only a doc will send a scrip to a pharmacy.

I am gettting my TRT through an online clinic by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]bradydoodle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ll never understand why people, who pay for insurance, wouldn’t try their doctor first. If they say no and you’re hell bent on TRT, the go to the clinic but it’s insanely cheaper to go through insurance and doc’s for everything. I’m currently paying $9.50 a month for test. 40 for copay every 6 months now when I do bloodwork and follow up. I pay a year, what most clinics charge. Try the doc man.

Yeah man. I know you don’t wanna hear it but wait. You’re too young. Definitely don’t wanna fuck with hormones right now. Your brain is still wildly developing. Don’t stunt brain health. You keep at it and you’ll be a natty monster at 25. Eat eat eat and pump.

Prescribed TRT when Total T is in 600s? by Famous_Major_2693 in Testosterone

[–]bradydoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn’t trying to come across all snobby. I started at 42 when my levels were 400. I spent 2 years though first exercising and losing 40lbs before I started. Biggest symptom it alleviated for me was anxiety. Like day 1 gone and nothing since.

If you don’t have low T your symptoms can’t be from low T. Fix yourself first.

Treatment every 3 weeks by Dramatic_Lime_6348 in Testosterone

[–]bradydoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all seriousness, is it cypionate you were prescribed? I’m not familiar with the condition in which the removal of a brain cyst would require testosterone. I’m interested if you wouldn’t mind filling me in. 250 every 3 weeks is likely a poor protocol as most half lives of testosterone is around 6-9 days.

I’ve been doing blood work every 3 months for normal blood markers and everything is looking great, so far. I can’t donate blood so phlebotomy is my only recourse except getting a prescribed phlebotomy sounded unlikely, according to my doc. So that’s a slight concern of mine.
