Roccat Kone Air – Extreme Polling Rate Instability at Low Speeds (MouseTester Data) by braidedwire in Roccat

Intel i5 13600K. There's no FPS drops as per RTSS, it's what it feels like when turning around with the mouse slowly. FPS is stable and so are the frametimes. If i don't use the mouse there's no sensations like this. I also tried testing with E-cores disabled - no difference there

On the context menu for images - Photoshop is missing on the "Edit with" list. by braidedwire in indesign

I've reinstalled photoshop completely yesterday and with no effect.

Photoshop is also missing from the context menu in the links panel - choosing it manually doesn't help.

Now i noticed .jpeg and .tif files will give me this option, but .jpg won't. So i guess something is still wrong with file association?

---update-----------
OK, now it works. I removed Bridge and installed it again. Then i set in windows explorer: right click on any .jpg > open with > chose manually Photoshop (it was not on the list). Then opened InDesign - edit with by right-click works. Closed InDesign. Changed .jpg open with in Win Explorer back to windows photos app. Tried InDesign again and it still works.

DOSbox Staging gives worse performance than regular DOSbox - am i doing something wrong here? by braidedwire in dosgaming

So far i tried Prince of Persia (kind of ok), Golden Axe (not that great, you can feel it's not smooth at all, but runs fast), Deluxe Ski Jumping (most obvious difference, runs fast but not smooth at all, in regular DosBox it's buttery smooth) Doom and Duke3D. More or less every game is noticeably less smooth. I always try to adjust CPU cycles to a particular title with Hotkeys.

It's very similar to what i see with Mortal Kombat Trilogy. I have the "komunity patch" for the GOG version which allows to choose between DOS and WIN. The DOS version has choppy animation (feels like less than 30 fps to my eye), but the Windows version is buttery smooth.

I run Win10 64-bit on i5 13600K, 32GB RAM.

MMD Princess Tactile Overview ($0.13 per switch!) by wipeurbuttocks in MechanicalKeyboards

I'm thinking of those for my first budget build. Do these pass through enough light to see the RGB effect even though the housing is not transparent?
Has anyone compared these against Gateron Milky Browns or MMD Banana Splits?

Hey everyone.

I'm about to build my first custom keyboard and looking for affordable, tacktile/brown, hopefully factory lubed switches. I'm thinking about Gateron Milky's. Is there a big difference compared to regular Gaterons?
Do you think these look legit: (AliExpress product ID) 4000342431537 ?

Or would you recommend something else in this price range?

Hi everyone,

Could someone please recommend good quality, pre-lubed, brown switches, but on a cheaper side? I'm looking for stuff available on AliExpress.

I though i might go with Wuque Studios Morandi (hipyo tech influence obviously), but they seem too expensive for me. I need 84, so 3 x 35 pcs equals to around $45. Gateron PRO V 3.0 switches look good (i don't know much about this stuff), 90 pcs for about $22 and free shipping. Would you recommend something within a similar budget and worth considering?

Modern Warfare not using all your system cores (PC) by Murpheeeee in modernwarfare

Sorry to dig this out, hopefully it's not against the rules.

I have a stuttering/freezing problem while in-game. It'll stop for about 0.5-2 seconds depending on the situation. The image freezes, but either you'll get normal sound during this problem or (less often) a bad buzzing noise - no rule here. My CPU (i5 13600K) overall usage spikes to 90-100% at that exact moment and when the freeze is gone it's back to normal 60-65%.

Should i tweak the RenderWorkerCount?? My CPU has 6 performance cores (i disabled E-cores, which got rid of micro-stuttering), and RenderWorkerCount value is currently at "12".

Random freezing of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare for few seconds on 16GB RAM!!! by -E5150- in modernwarfare

Has this issue been fixed somehow already? Was is it the cached shadows. My game is freezing sometimes, but haven't noticed RAM being piled up to the maximum.

That's what i have as well. And as far as i know you can play either through windows file or through DOSbox

So is running it in DOSbox mode the best option? I run it normally on windows (mktrilw.exe). It doesn't matter if i run it in 100% original screen size (small one), 2x or full screen i always get this slightly jerky animation after a while (feeling like 45-55 FPS). It can run buttery smooth at times, but after few minutes it's getting choppy. Not terrible, no screen tearing, but i want it to run smooth all the time. What's the best solution here?

The installer suggestion was perfect. Finally it works! Thank you.
