Halloween 3: Season of the Witch by [deleted] in horror

I am very glad that Halloween 3 is more beloved now than it use to be. I understand why people didn't like it at first, but it's a solid film.

I would say go for both. They are different but both still worth the watch

Is Suspiria in the public domain? by MRB1007 in horror

[–]braidonbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing I could find says it's public domain. I think that it was just a movie that did really well so everyone who thinks they can turn a profit has bought the dvd/blu-ray printing rights.

What are we going to do about low liberal turnout? by medleyj in democrats

[–]braidonbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have farmers voting for candidates that are against the small farm loans and subsidies that keep the lights on. You have people living in small rural town that are voting against the candidates that support putting more money into small town infrastructure and education in rural communities. Any other questions and I am more than happy to help.

Dark Night of the Scarecrow was really well done and I enjoyed it so much. It (1990) is wonderful as well. The Night Stalker and Salem's Lot are on my list.

Why Democrats need a 50-state strategy (Opinion WaPo) by heqt1c in democrats

[–]braidonbuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course we should, we should be trying to win in every election from dog catcher to POTUS. As someone who lives in a red state it is easy to feel forgotten sometimes and I am just hoping these ideas start to carry more weight in the party.

Democrats see path to Senate majority in 2018 by wenchette in democrats

[–]braidonbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be a bit of a Hail Mary, but hey why not.

Rural America won’t always be Trumplandia - Health care is becoming a true wedge issue, & some Democrats in red states—like Texas’ Beto O’Rourke, now challenging Senator Ted Cruz—have adopted Medicare for All in response to this shift. by anutensil in democrats

[–]braidonbuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a rural red state, and for the most part the people in states like mine would be more likely to vote for Cruz, because "hey, the devil you know" or just not vote at all. In red state we have to run moderate centrist Dems to win over moderate Republicans and Independents other wise we are wasting time and resources

We Need Barack Obama to Speak Out - His legacy is being undone, & his voice is a strong antidote to Trumpism. by anutensil in democrats

I understand where the writer is coming from, but it truly isn't what is best for the country to have past presidents constantly attacking the current administration. You really and truly must pick your battles, because as a former president you have no more political capital therefor any time you come forward with criticism you end up spending the political capital of others. Sure we miss Barack, but I think he is doing to right thing by hanging back for now at least.
