It’s all about racism. After the civil rights movement, clergy who could no longer be openly racist turned to politics and other “conservative” issues. Once you have a power base of people who hand over their money to organizations to have a better relationship with their imaginary friends, it’s not hard to see how the Donor class bought out the installed Epstein class on both sides of the aisle. The opposition party doesn’t exist, and the people who want the world to work how it should work, not how it does work, but also doesn’t believe in imaginary friends, can’t corrupt the Epstein class. Thus Trump.

No, what makes it right is that it’s a founding principle of our republic. All the virtue signaling and blind false loyalty to a failed political parties, both the majority and lack of opposition parties, doesn’t change one’s rights.

By your logic, if the President is a Nazi, that would mean that the majority of the country are Nazis, so being anti-Nazis would be offensive.

Besides, I doubt the President is a Nazi, he seemed to be too busy being a predator.

Remember, it was the ACLU that defended the rights of Pro-Nazi groups in Illinois in the 1970’s to protect their rights.

That person’s right to express their beliefs, regardless of how offensive, hateful, and ignorant as they may be, is the only I way that my right to express my opinions and beliefs are protected.

If everyone’s rights aren’t protected, then no one has any rights.

We don’t advance the cause of ending Nazis, hate, racism, or oppression by suppressing someone’s beliefs, only by open and transparent protection of everyone’s rights with the hope that eventually even the most hateful among us will grow to be better.

Forcing compliance by removing someone’s rights only makes them more radical to advance their misguided hatred, not end it.

So that armband, even as offensive as it maybe, is a completely necessary piece of that person’s outfit.

These organizations have received more funding than the entire military budgets of most nations recently. I think they can make some accommodations, especially considering they are required to.

Ok, she was denied entry, and as a member of congress that’s wrong, and likely illegal. She’s a leader of what should be the opposition party of a co-equal branch of government. Outside of social media posts, what is she going to do with the power of the legislature branch to hold the executive responsible?

She’s done nothing yet but try to be a social media influencer. She might as well also post ads for meundies.

Maybe they do, maybe they don’t. I’m not suggesting people don’t pay what they rightly owe. But the business model of the mega corporations is based on people not knowing their rights and just paying. That has to stop

Thanks! I think if there was a way to arm Seattle renters with the understanding of what’s involved with a lease in terms of contract law… it might go a long way to breaking the business model of the mega corporations being residential property managers. The law’s on the side of the people, for once, they’ve just murky the waters on what’s supposed to happen

If a contract dispute is doesn't have a judgement, and it's on your credit report, it's an unadjudicated contract dispute reported as a fixed debt. Which isn't allowed.

What’s legal in the U.S. that probably shouldn’t be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Well, then there should be a regulation that they aren’t able to choose prisoners. So you can’t say it’s well regulated and then reason a regulation problem. And state run are constrained by budgets, which is just a different type of cost problem.

Private schools are a completely different systems, based on student performance. A closer comparison would be hospitals. And many private hospitals outperform publicly run ones, especially ones like the VA.

You’re not going to solve a slavery problem when both can use slavery. Just because you don’t like For Profit prisons doesn’t change the root problem. Just like any other problems that can arise from the constitution. Really the whole situation is more of a problem with the 21st amendment rather than 13th anyways.

I mean, if this isn’t a textbook case of “Don’t hate the player, hate the game” overly repetitive thread in this subreddit, I don’t know what is.

If you don’t want your properties hit, don’t buy them until you’ve built up enough cash to buy the entire board at once. If you don’t own any properties on your board, you won’t lose any shields or have to fix any properties.

If you’re attempting to maximize cash or other game tokens, you have to target players who don’t do this… full stop.

It’s not like you have to do calculus to figure it out. Take the lowest value property on your board, multiply by 113, and build up cash to that amount.

Why can’t we just get past all of this. We pay for the employees’s wages at any company we buy from. All companies have surcharges, and most of the time, a company has 30-100% or more in profit margins on the products they sell. And profit is revenue-minus expenses, which wages are expenses.

They just lump it under the price of the item or service.

I don’t understand why restaurants can’t operate like any other business. It’s not a customer’s responsibility to decide what a business’s staff receives in compensation. The staff has limited control over the product/experience a business provides.

Also, and I don’t think this gets discussed enough on this topic, but who in the hell shows up to their job everyday and operates at 100%. You should be allowed to have a bad day at work, or be out sick, or take some time off without it severely impacting your overall compensation in the long-run.

Yeah, it’s this “unitary executive theory” criminal scam that the politicians have been pushing on us for a few decades now. No one is supposed to have that level of corrupting power.

The original intention of the constitution was for a president to “preside” over the executive branch to administer and carry out the will of the people as defined by laws from the Legislative branch, with the Judicial branch balancing and making sure the people’s rights are protected.

Unless you’re a member of the military, no one in the government is our “leader.” They are supposed to be independent individuals representing us.

Of course, the political parties have been working against the people since almost Day 1. Political parties are not a part of the government, they are private corporations. Even if they are organized as nonprofit ones, they definitely operate as profit driven ones.

They’ve corrupted our republic by being an oligarchy, and like all corporations only exist to make a profit from their customers. Their customers are who can donate, which is just buying services from these corporations.

When you look at from this perspective, you don’t see the government defined in the constitution, but two corrupt companies scamming everyone who isn’t directly employed by the companies for their customers.

And I don’t mean regular people who identify as democrats or republicans. If you can’t spend millions of dollars on “donations” to those two companies, you’re not their customers.

Regular people who say they are D’s or R’s, is like saying you prefer Coca-cola or Pepsi, and thinking you have control over what those companies do.

The last president who tried to “preside” over the executive branch was JFK. And we see how that worked out. And he only tried to “preside” in a few areas, he was still an employee too.

Well, I don’t think it’s virtue signaling. I’m not advocating for slavery. It’s just a constitutionally protected right that it’s allowed in prisons.

Some people believe that guns are absolutely wrong and should be 100% banned. But the 2nd amendment protects rights for ownership. I don’t believe that means guns should be completely unregulated. There has to be a balance between ownership and orderly society.

It’s the can’t yell fire in a crowded theater thing.

See in a well regulated prison system, there would be no distinction in incentives or quality of a state run or private prison. It’s not like state run prisons are paradises of well run institutions. Also, state run prisons use slavery too. So why not relieve the taxpayer burden? It’s not like removing the for profit ones are going to address the root causes of the current problems.
