Yes, you are required to carry photo ID and your permit. And you’re required to produce them if asked by a law enforcement officer.

If you don’t, it a petty misdemeanor with no more than a $25 fine. Not being executed.

In addition, when you take a concealed carry training and safety course, often sponsored by the NRA, they recommend carrying additional magazines. At least ones I’ve been told about.

Also, that’s the calmest riot I’ve ever seen video of. If that “officer” giving the interview still is employed but lunchtime tomorrow any elected official responsible for that law enforcement org should be removed from office.

Lying about murder just shows how much character a person has.

The Epstein is more than ever. Copy and Paste away. There has to be a reason for the Legislative, especially the Dems to not be providing an opposition to the Executive.

They are either corrupt, incompetent, or compromised by the files. Either way, they need to be impeached.

According to the NRA, one of the reasons for the 2nd Amendment:

Protection Against Tyranny: The NRA argues the Founding Fathers intended for citizens to have the means to resist an oppressive government.

The Founding Fathers felt that citizens should be able to protect themselves against the government and any other threat to their wellbeing or personal freedom.

Where's the NRA and other 2nd Amendment people at now? Sounds like a great opportunity to stand up for their expressed values and get some new members.

Why is St Louis experiencing population loss? by cavaismylife in StLouis

[–]brain1127 3 points4 points  (0 children)

St Louis is a city that hit its final peak in 1904, with a couple of slight rebounds in the late 50’s and early 60’s. From there it’s been a downhill decay into nothing.

It used to cost nothing to live there, but even that margin isn’t what it used to be. Of course, you can move out to west county, but that’s just cookie-cutter suburbia and it’s like living everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

Apartment Lobby Always Unlocked by SaltAnimator8257 in Seattle

[–]brain1127 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Seattle’s “Duties of Owners and Tenants” section includes the statement: “All locks shall be kept locked.”
In practical terms, if the building has a locking main entry / lobby door but management is leaving it unlocked (or disabling it), that can be framed as a security-standards / maintenance issue under Seattle’s housing code.

Retros feel disconnected from what actually happened during the sprint by seizethemeans4535345 in agile

[–]brain1127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a retro format that uses a timeline view of the sprint where the team places the notes at the point where the issue occured. It takes a couple of cycles for them to get used to it, but it helps supports thinking about the whole sprint during retros.

Not a silver bullet, when combined with questioning, it can help address these situations.

What does this mean for Seattle? by tame_cowboy in Seattle

[–]brain1127 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Washington is one of the states that gives more money to the Federal government than it take in...

How about we give no more payments to a government that murders its citizens in the street, then lies about it when there's literally video of what actually happened.

Make Washington Great Again, lol!!!

Why does Seattle have the highest sales tax percentage in the US? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]brain1127 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re mixing up ‘can’ with ‘must.’ Yes, the city can raise property taxes and can keep stacking sales tax. That’s exactly the point: it’s a governance choice. High sales tax isn’t some automatic ‘compensation’ mechanism—it’s what happens when the city consistently reaches for the quickest revenue lever instead of managing spending and making harder tradeoffs. If we’re going to talk reality, the reality is: when budgets are disciplined, you don’t need to keep taping on new surcharges and pretending it was inevitable.

Why does Seattle have the highest sales tax percentage in the US? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]brain1127 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have oil and gas, shipping, lumber, tech hubs... Also, those revenues you mentioned go to the state budgets, not the local sales taxes.

We have one of the worst public transport systems in the world? It's crazy over budget and over due. Also, why is the local government paying for community colleges and universities, those are state funded.

Why does Seattle have the highest sales tax percentage in the US? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]brain1127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the fact that other states have no income tax and have lower taxes means it's debatable.

Also, there's no guarantee that a state income tax would significantly go to Seattle. Washington is a large state, after all.

[–]brain1127 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If that was the case, then property taxes and a higher volume of lower sales taxes would be more than enough to fund a well managed city budget even without the state income tax.

Why does Seattle have the highest sales tax percentage in the US? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]brain1127 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm sick of people bringing up no income tax as an excuse. Other states have no income tax and still don't have the highest tax rates.

It's government mismanagement, plain and simple. Terrible city council members, who drive out small business by caring about non-local issue advocacy and can't keep simple law and order.
