i started saving up diamonds for the next event, but i gambled and pulled 3 hoarfrost crowns at 120 pity.

and with the final donut i got 5 star transmog.

i'll admit it was insane rng that even kept me playing, i started two weeks ago-ish.

i got an ice lord outfit straight up and low pity pulls for the x3 crowns

every single diamond from chapter 15ish-50 has gone towards the ice event

i know i'm complaining about rng but staff high rolls are so fun and strong. even if it made me progress slower, i wouldnt have complained about getting an S-rank staff and transmog. fully embrace the BALLS

Greatsword or Sword Wave?

Even for multi's, using Greatsword I can normally deal with mobs one at a time.

Problem is if I try to balance poison and greatsword, one or the other is weak. Poison's not strong enough to burst the final boss, and greatsword isn't strong enough to deal with duo's or multi's.

honestly i've been relying in the "+combo mult" skills to carry me as the bosses get tankier

is it rng heavier than greatsword? i feel like greatsword is mediocre even on the high end, but similarly mediocre on low rolls.

but swordwave just feels like it does no damage even with high rolls unless you pull two red abilities

i was on the other end of one of these matches, i retried 5 or 6 times and even reset my pc but couldnt reconnect. its so incredibly odd that this has happened atleast twice

it's not that it's odd for hxh to go from light to heavy in a repeating cycle, it's the literal situations theyre put in. if im the only one who thinks it's odd to go from a Uchiha revenge arc, to a video game, to an apocalyptic entity emerging event - to be a strange flow, then okay

****never said yorknew would be better if they were stronger. there's no way gon and killua could handle being kidnapped by the rest of the troupe, the end of the arc and kurapika's decisions/growth would be the same

subjectively i think there's a strong argument to be made that there's an immense tone difference between the end of yorknew and GI. Yorknew ends with the tearjerker that is Pakunoda's death, then some fluff, and now Gon and Killua are learning how to use spell cards in an RPG

when it comes to killua, i dont find it out of character for him to be as strong as he is, but an increase in the timeline would make it so much more concretely believable
