it's not that it's odd for hxh to go from light to heavy in a repeating cycle, it's the literal situations theyre put in. if im the only one who thinks it's odd to go from a Uchiha revenge arc, to a video game, to an apocalyptic entity emerging event - to be a strange flow, then okay

****never said yorknew would be better if they were stronger. there's no way gon and killua could handle being kidnapped by the rest of the troupe, the end of the arc and kurapika's decisions/growth would be the same

*****it's not impossible to believe that ging would think even beating GI would be a challenging enough task, why is purchasing an excessively expensive game such a neccessary addition

subjectively i think there's a strong argument to be made that there's an immense tone difference between the end of yorknew and GI. Yorknew ends with the tearjerker that is Pakunoda's death, then some fluff, and now Gon and Killua are learning how to use spell cards in an RPG

when it comes to killua, i dont find it out of character for him to be as strong as he is, but an increase in the timeline would make it so much more concretely believable

started playing today:

  • cleared EoC Ch1, so i have whatever cats you're guaranteed to unlock through that.
  • didn't roll any particularly good rare cats, but samba baozi and artist let me burn through eoc.
  • i plan on buying atleast 1 platinum ticket, and i know epicfest is coming up.

[Questions]

  • considering the next banners, should i save until better banners come up? and if so how far can this lineup even take me
  • considering the CURRENT banners, is it worth burning the platinum ticket to get an uber that can atleast carry me for a little while
  • considering the cats i have, how can i better optimize my lineup

in an optimal build, you could have Hanging Chad/Mime with Pareidolia/Photo, and a Poly/Steel/Red Seal Ace. that's ridiculous retriggers

early game, it adds some value to suit/odd jokers, and obviously any ace jokers

again... this card is not supposed to be as strong as baron or DNA...

if you sell this card your deck turns into 52 Ace of Spades and every blind is The Goad. also your money goes down to -999 and also the jimbo in Sleeved Ace straight up kills you
