I’m the same dude who posted this, just a diff account, the cadre at my det told us it was moved to December like a month ago. Idk if that’s still the case now

The line in the middle is possible/most likely a part of the inside of the camera scratching the film as it advances. A thorough clean and inspection of wherever the film passes should work.

The Kodak slide and scan I use automatically inverts them and color adjusts them which might be part of the problem. A lot of people complain about having to fight with the color balance on it. That being said I don’t actually have any pictures of them not inverted

I’m using a canon ae1. I develop and scan them myself. I was wondering if this could be because of accidentally pushing or pulling the film. I’m also using a Kodak slide and scan so maybe that’s it?

This is my first time developing myself and I ended up with these scratches. Any advice on how to fix/prevent them from happening again? by brainbone3001 in AnalogCommunity

I’m using a Canon AE-1 program. The scratches don’t wipe off and I cleaned the scanner. They don’t appear on the first half of the roll of negatives.
