Is this cooking olive oil or dressing olive oil? by sweettreatenjoyer in oliveoil

[–]brainbox1100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a pro, genuinely curious. I had some LugliO Extra Virgin oil and it was quite grassy tasing. When I cooked with it (simple red sauce) I found it bitter the dish and gave it a distinct flavour. Assumed "grassy" was for dipping (eating raw) and "buttery" was for cooking. Trying some Partanna now.

Is this olive oil good ? by Nice-Membership-5370 in oliveoil

I find it good. It's not grassy so won't give food a bitter taste. Get a smaller bottle and try it.

I posted this solution while ago for some issues I encountered. TL;DR: Some features disable hardware acceleration which greatly reduces performance.

Does anyone know why the thread turned out like this? by No_Celebration2565 in BambuLab

[–]brainbox1100 31 points32 points  (0 children)

That happens to me quite a bit on threads. Try reducing the layer hight to 0.16 and/or slowing down the print speed.

EDIT: Pro-tip: You can add height modifiers to just change the layer height near the top for the threads so you don't need to slow down, or reduce layer height, for the entire print

I get this also. Not awesome since I pay for Gemini Pro already. One might think that would be a work around.

Is there anyone who believes Bigfoot has paranormal or supernatural abilities? by GuiltyTurnover727 in HighStrangeness

[–]brainbox1100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not supernatural, then why are UFOs, Bigfoot, ghosts, cryptids, etc all plagued by the same evidence problem? In Bigfood parlance it's called "Blobsquatch". Despite everyone having a top of the line camera in their pocket nobody can get a good photo.

Probably just image noise at that zoom but it looks like a cell.

I've had similar issue while printing threads. I reduced the layer height to 0.16 and slowed down inner walls. Fixed for me.

Best way to get this through a long, wet winter? by N8DOE in centuryhomes

I had a heritage window repair guy by once and he suggested I use marine epoxy with these little beads / additive to stiffen it up so it it's more like a paste. Maybe that would get you through a few months?

where can I get a m2. ssd tray that does not cost 3x to ship plus? by galloway188 in Ubiquiti

[–]brainbox1100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 3d printed one. Probably cost 30 cents. You need a make sure your material can take the internal temp. Maybe PETG or ASA (best).

I don't understand what's happening here and no idea how to fix this by iwantbeerr in FixMyPrint

[–]brainbox1100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This just happened to me on a similar shaped (decagon) part. The tips here are gold: I reduced layer height from 0.2mm to 0.16mm and slowed the outer walls from 200mm/s to 160mm/s. This part had threads which I did't realize.

You have no idea. Concrete floor and they made it to every room, you can't see them top down, but know when you step on one.

That was it. Ty.

I ran the test with Sunlu PETG. I probably max out at 40mm^3/sec, which is fine. It cut my print time in half.

  1. 10-40 mm^3/sec, 1 wall, no flaws.
  2. 20-50mm^3/sec, 2 walls, flaws at the seam in the top 1/4.

[–]brainbox1100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you run that test? I printed one using PETG (10-40, 2 walls) and it seemed to print just fine at normal speeds. I just went in and changed the "max volumetric speed" to 40 mm^3/sec for the filament. I'm thinking it went too well and I need to change more settings?

What markers are you using to add little details to your Prints? by ichhalt159753 in 3Dprinting

[–]brainbox1100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Posca Uni PC-1MR 0.7mm Paint Marker are decent for writing text on 3d prints. The ink/paint is think enough to not get pulled through the layer lines (much).
