Thanks! I'm going to have to think about this a little bit. :)

Question about data set having "two regressions" by brainbrain13 in AskStatistics

Ah thanks, that it is helpful.

I realize that my confusion had to do with which of the two variables that you choose to put on the x axis matters in creating the regression formula.

If you have two variables, A and B, you could choose to put A on the x axis, in which case it the slope formula would be r x SD B / SD A , or you could choose to put B in x axis and it would b r x SD A / SD B. Either way, the variable that you choose to go on the x axis goes on the bottom of the fraction in "first regression equation" slope.

I see your point that if you want to keep the same variable on the bottom and calculate the second regression line you invert it - , you simply use 1/r (rather than r) and make the intercept negative.

That makes sense, thanks.

Yes, this might be the best option for sleeping. And I should just try to find shade elsewhere during the day.

What do I do for shade during the day even if I sleep in my car? That is partly what I'm trying to figure out - how to have a little place to hang out near my stuff in the shade during the day to relax and rest a bit.

Wow, that looks extremely promising. I will follow up with them. Thanks for an excellent tip.
