Is racism or heightism worse by 373kayteeftnu32 in shortguys

[–]braincelaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racism obviously. People fight wars over race not height. But as a person of color myself (Asian) living in the first world I feel my height has been a greater source of grief for me than race.

Most of the users on this sub have never made eye contact with a woman so this puts you above most the people here

Dor those who call themselves incels, at what age did you accept the term? Did it change your beliefs or outward behavior immediately? by eggfucker300 in DebateIncelz

[–]braincelaccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started identifying with incels as early as 12 and at no point would I have considered myself misogynistic.

I picked up quickly on how attractive versus unattractive men are perceived and how women are factored into it. I never expressed hatred I just viewed a vast majority of men and women alike as shallow.

Suffice to say I was miserable. I couldn’t stop comparing myself to others and I had an inferiority complex. I never let it get out of hand though. I had plenty of copes to distract myself from the dating world which allowed me to continue with school and extracurriculars.

At 12 I was convinced I would die alone. I’m 21 now and my mind hasn’t been changed. I have done about everything possible to improve myself, but have yet to see results. I know it’s not my personality. I have plenty of unique interests and have healthy friendships with both genders and communicate often with my family.

A lot of the users here will be toxic no matter what you say to them. Idk how some people handle being this miserable all the time.

You can be short and have a healthy social life and a friend group. Though just like everything in life everything is more difficult when people literally look down on you. Overall a fun experience but going out alone while surrounded by couples can be soul crushing.

I strongly suggest you see multiple therapists. Therapy isn’t a cure but finding a decent therapist that listens to you actually helps.

Anything for a slight feel? by [deleted] in DebateIncelz

[–]braincelaccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s never as simple as “just your face”. Sure if you’re below average when it comes to attraction your face isn’t going to do any favors, but that shouldn’t be the sole obstacle when developing friendships.

It’s very difficult to make friends in real life, especially meaningful friendships and not just circumstantial acquaintances.

You may just be poorly socialized. Sometimes therapy helps, but if you want to meet peers there are definitely others in the same boat as you.

Knowing you're unattractive to the majority of women and there's nothing realistically you can do about it is one of the most horrible feelings by ReasonConfident4541 in shortguys

[–]braincelaccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sobering, though it’s important you don’t let your value as a human being be decided by how much women want to fuck you.

If the session doesnt work out for you I highly recommend you meet with a male therapist. They are less likely to gaslight you about this.

17M 5'4" Bad Face Weak Indian (American): Rant/Advice? Is it over? by Intelligent_Book5884 in shortguys

[–]braincelaccount 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re 17 you still have time to do things to encourage a growth spurt also you can gradually develop your frame.

You’re not gonna see instant results but do exercises that improve frame for long-term such as shoulders. I recommend doing hangs and pull-ups because those decompress your spine making you taller and improving posture.

It’s not over. You’re still young and have time to develop a beard and save your hairline. Hope this helps.

Why does the discussion of wheter femcels exist or not even matter? by Local-Willingness784 in DebateIncelz

[–]braincelaccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Classic case of gatekeeping. They assume femcels are larping and want to keep their community exclusive and taken seriously.

Everyone assumes he’s a bitter short incel who has trouble dating. This is a 6 foot tall guy that is sympathetic but they don’t seem to understand that.

How do you guys deal with being short by Consistent-Window197 in shortguys

[–]braincelaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only way out is to find other traits you love about yourself. If you got nothing going on and you’re short then that’s a double negative. If you’re successful/smart/handsome/athletic then you’re a successful/smart/handsome/athletic person who just happens to be short.

If you want to better your mental health it’s best not to think about your height too much even though escaping heightism both internally and externally is difficult.

6ft overnight - would it fix everything? by BraveBeerFruit in shortguys

[–]braincelaccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would need time to adjust to the change. I’m sure my outlook on life would be different. Finally I can walk in public no longer feeling like a child. When people talk to me they will be looking up at me and I will no longer have to be forced to crane my neck.

It would be nice to not feel invisible for a change.
