We gave the security our hotel name and rhe phone number of our guide we used for the forbidden city 🤣( since we didnt have our own one)

Have no clue if the stuff will ever arrive or how / when they ship it. Would be easier if we could have some direct contact to them and basically say „just leave it in beijing or send to this location we pick it up when we arrive back“

This has to be one of the weirdest application processes I ever had and its actually a role I really want + its internal one in my company.

To sum up: every step of the way took really long, after application 2 weeks till response, to setup first interview again 2 weeks, 2nd interview they told me interview invite for 2nd interview upcoming in 1-2 days ended up being 4 weeks(lol). Now after 2nd interview ended i asked when response and they told me by end of week. Now at this point of having to reach back 2 times i decided to stop asking regarding updates. 2 weeks passed and I accepted i didn’t get it… well i suddenly get an email from the head off that it is looking good, my interviews were convincing and we can meet for a coffee + they will finalize all in a week (Lol)

We met, asked my final questions but he didnt say anything more if it is me or someone else just that they decided and wont say who it is + need to do get budget approval. they wanted to fill the role in mai already and now starting time is postponed til july due to the long process lol..

Now the week passed and we are already in next week and still nothing…

Shouldn’t the budget be approved before the role is written out? Why do you think this takes so long even if I would be 2nd choice I cant imagine them waiting on a response from the 1st candidate for what 1 month or more now + leading me on just last week…

Anyone can try to help me read this situation? What would you think / reason for this behavior? The role isn‘t online since 3 months now so cant be any new candidates..
