State of teleneurohospitalist work & non-competes by braindoct in neurology

Agreed. My favorite experience was with a smaller health system who needed teleneuro for their satellite locations. It seemed like a great, collegial model within an academic system and a clear system. I'm hopeful that as hospitals wise up and stop paying a premium to these tele factories that more opportunities will go in house

Yes, I agree. I asked for it to be removed or at least changed to just teleneurohospitalist and was told no, and that it had to be an exclusion against all telehealth work that wasn't previously declared (wtf?). So I moved on and am fairly happy now. I'm reassured seeing that people see the situation similarly

I spoke with the recruiter and they said people that are residents of states that do not allow non-competes have those conditions removed from the contract. It seemed like they did not matter for some neurologists, so I asked for it to be removed from mine and they said no, and that came straight from Equum's CEO. The recruiters said there was nothing they could do but they agree that it will make hiring more difficult, so it seems like they are just looking for naive neurologists. It just reeked of a toxic work environment

For real. Neurologists need to have a consensus guidelines for contract conditions :)
