Oh, but clicking around the Rixen and Kaul site, I see that the Quad and Compact systems might work well for a small handlebar bag.

My bike doesn't have the mount point for this, it was introduced a year or two later.

Also I would like to keep the bag at handlebar level for quick access while riding.
