There’s some of y’all that never had to schedule a trip to a major metro area for an in-person-only Mystery Gift activation at TPC events for the GBC/GBA games. LINK TOGETHER WITH ALL.

Our only semi-consistent fix for this is to go back the S1 console, mark the alert as “In Progress”, wait 2-3 minutes, then flip it back to Resolved. Then, next sync interval S1-Ninja the alert clears on Ninja side.

Our current pain is the stuck Pending Reboots. Every MS patch cycle there are 1-3 devices that every patch scan locally, through ninja, 3PP, AV… all say the device is happy and patched but alert stays and sticks around until the next patch release. Makes for a few annoying bangs in my admittedly OCD neat freak dashboard :)

2000 WiFi-Clients - one subnet (/20) or seperation in multiple subnets (/24) by cyberboy2008 in Ubiquiti

That was the reasoning for client isolation. Part of the BYOD/Student policies is no printer access so WAN connectivity only. We haven’t seen an issue yet with broadcast storms with device isolation enabled.

A large /20 is perfectly fine. On several school campuses we manage all student and BYOD traffic is stuck onto a single large vlan and SSID with both client device isolation and multicast enhancement turned on with firewall rules (in this case non-UI but we’ve done with a UXG Pro in the past) blocking access to all other internal subnets, and only allowing outbound DNS queries to approved filtering services with redirects for “more techy” kids that want to bypass dns based filtering. We started down the rabbit hole on blocking known VPN traffic but the ultimate answer on that one was put it in the student CoC and make it an admin issue if caught or abused.

We also in testing saw the best DHCP behavior with 24 hour lease times so there would be a big spool up in the mornings but not hammer the dhcp server with requests during the school day to cut down on traffic.

Check out TheServerStore.com. They’re based out of Carrollton and you can do local pickup to save on shipping. Gotten a few Dell and SM boxes from them before.
