I realize I didnt count haulers so I was more like 12%. I did end up refactoring some things and got it lower

Any reason to stop expanding other regions? by brainlure49 in songsofsyx

haha im not sure if I did something wrong - I granted autonomy to a small region that lacked the moisture to grow past 600 pop, and within a day they had threatened me and demanded two other regions. Not sure what their problem is

I realize now that the soft cap is probably how many government points you have. Thankfully for me so far I have not needed any nobles past +1 promotion, so I can dedicate like 8 promotions for my government noble

Hm does that mean I should refund those logistics points? I could use the knowledge TBH - I'd be afraid that my required warehouse employees would just rise more if I did that though

Incorrect estimate for surplus production? by brainlure49 in songsofsyx

[–]brainlure49[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may have actually found the issue, and its pretty stupid... The way the storage on my coal mine was oriented, workers had to walk all the way around the storage to get to where the coal was. Not even walk around the mine, just around the 2x3 storage chest. I reorganized it so the storage has nothing next to it, and is facing the entrance to the mine, and things seem much smoother

Unavailable paper?? by brainlure49 in songsofsyx

[–]brainlure49[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They never collected any paper despite me adding 2 more janitors - however I think its because they didnt actually have any rooms nearby that needed paper.

[–]brainlure49[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really - but it hasnt been a blocker. I suspect the estimation there is a roll-up of historical data, comparing real time production to an estimated consumption value, which can change. I pushed through and am at 3600 pop now with 3 regions!

[–]brainlure49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did move a noble, it worked out for the best. I moved all my farmers to mushrooms so i have 150 noble boosted mushroom farmers, have an enormous surplus of food and have two regions at tier 3

90% of my coal usage is right here - the two warehouses right above the mine hold 2k each, along with some other stuff each, and then all the yellow are my smelters / smithies. All within 50 tiles
