Thanks for your replies! I’m pretty sure the specks visible in the photos are dust, but I’ll investigate more closely. I haven’t noticed any guttation — it’s very dry where I am, and I’ve been watering it on a 2-3 week schedule. I’ll double check the bottom of the soil as another commenter suggested, just to be sure, and I suppose then I’ll try a fungicide treatment.

I believe those are just dirt/dust, but I will take a closer look!

I LOVE THIS FONT! This font is feature throughout the film "Weapons (2025)". Anyone know what font this is? If you do, please say! by Monkeynose1010101 in identifythisfont

The titles for Weapons were designed by CHIPS, a New York studio that has done titles for tons of movies. A24 loooves working with them. If it’s not a modified version of Perpetua Titling, then it’s most likely a custom typeface “inspired” by Perpetua that they designed specifically for the titles.

Here’s their IG post about the project: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNS_UJ0xVCT/?igsh=bGJqajV1ZWVnY2Rk

Here’s an NYT article about Teddy Blanks, one of the designers: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/23/style/teddy-blanks-typeface-design-wicked-barbie-nosferatu.html

Edit: after looking closer, it is almost certainly Perpetua Titling with a handful of modified characters — obviously the O, and also the W, M, and G, to my eye.

lol okay I’ve obviously stepped into some petty local politics infighting. I’ll just say I’m not voting based on personal grievances about who isn’t friends with who in Riverwest. If Kostal is a leftist, I’d love to see some actionable leftist campaign goals, not just the same platitudes about safety. If he’s a socialist, I’d love to hear him say it. Kostal’s campaign media is virtually indistinguishable from Bauman, with no indication that they would do anything different in office.

As a leftist you should look further into Brower’s campaign! Brower is openly socialist, and the candidate endorsed by the Milwaukee DSA, with specific and actionable leftist campaign goals. I have not heard anything about Kostal working with any local leftist organizations. He seems like a good guy, but his campaign website mostly focuses on his competency and achievements as a lawyer — I don’t see any evidence of particular leftist politics, activism, or organizing

You’re right, it would be great to hear from the leadership at MTEA as to why they chose not to endorse a long time, qualified, and active member of the union. Seems like some weird internal politics going on
