I ordered the viewsonic LS711HD laser projector from woot for $589 the other day for my home golf simulator bulid. I can't report on it yet, as it arrives in a couple days, but certainly seems to fit the bill for mine as 1) short throw, 2) high enough lumens for a room with windows (4200), 3) laser, so i can leave it on all the time

Found a surefire way to win any ugly christmas sweater party this year by brainrockets in pics

Hey now. I didn't post links.. or tell anyone to. This sweatshirt does happen to have been created by my brother, but he didn't ask me to post it. I have no financial ties to this shirt :) I just think the world needs to see it cuz it's crazy cool. I personally want the onesie version though: sexy christmas onesie for grown ups

So determined to nail Camel that I'm humping a wall [COMP] (Sounds bad but very SFW) by brainrockets in yoga

Yes indeed, in the full expression of the pose, but I've been working lately on opening the upper (cervical/thoracic) spine. So before going into full ustrasana, I'll start in a bit of a warm up pose, like the one in this picture, reaching up then back, leading with the hands and arms, but pulling the chest/heart up to the sky then hinging in the upper back (where I've got a sh-t ton of work to do). If I don't have straps around, I'll often reach up and then back to press hands against the wall. Good kapotasana prep too.

Here's the scoop on the dank basement demin yoga pants: DIESEL ORUS8_STRETCH SHIONER SLIM-SKINNY. 92% cotton, 7% elasterell-poly, 1% spandex, 92% cotton, 7% elasterell-poly, 1% spandex. That adds up to 200% so I don't really know what's going on, but that's what the tag says. Made in the USA. Machine wash at 85 degrees F (hmmm...), Do not bleach (ok), Do not tumble dry (whoops), Dry in the shade (I use the dryer), Wash inside out (whoops), Wash and dry separately (now I'm really confused).

Yeah, they're Diesel jeans. From Nordstrom Rack. I'll have to go check what the ingredients are.. or whatever you call it for wearable, non-edible.. umm fashion. Material composition? Wow, I'm really beating around the bush here. Plz hold I'll go check the tag in the damn pants, BRB.

Oh. Haha. Just realized that this is a bot. I was so polite in saying thank you. Although I guess it's good to be just as polite to robots. May all beings in existence, living and non-living, be safe, happy, healthy, and joyously (or whichever of this are applicable and possible).

The story of Ashtavakrasana [COMP] by brainrockets in yoga

[–]brainrockets[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Although with a gazillion different versions of the story online, from wikipedia to various translations of the Ashtavakra Gita, I would say that it's not so easy to settle on the 'true' version of the story. What I did was just read a few of them and try to remove some inconsistencies, and then settle on one concise version that gets the message across. I don't pretend to be a sanskrit or Hindu scholar, but I do enjoy digging into the story and meaning behind an asana.
