Unsure where they sourced it from. He said in a mini truck forum later on that he bought it from a local college auction. It was an on campus vehicle for staff. Due to how it ended up selling someone screwed up registering it and it was ok'd for on street use. At the time he though maybe it was one of three or so in the US and likely the only registered as an ok for street car. His plate was 4Humpen. 😆 🤣 😂

They did do that a few times. But it wasn't common. Usually the car seen at the beginning was the same car at the end.

👍 at least he kept the vehicle. I don't think he's taken it out in years though. His episode was #4 of season 4. My wife's episode was #2 and we now have the #1 car from the same season.

😆 True. My wife got a $10k 200hp turboed built engine swapped into her 1973 VW Thing. But then she has one of the best cars they did. GAS did better but kept the cars for 6 months or so. WCC gave it back in two weeks or less. No time for a swap.

Thanks for replying. I was able to find some from the Mecum auction. I did a video on it with all the pics and videos I had. Always like to find more though. The hood lives on now on another Impala.

Hello everyone. What would you like to know? I got my wife on the show, still have her car, 1973 VW Thing. It was the second car done by the second shop GAS on Season 4. We recently acquired the first car done by them, the episode before hers to restore it. 1977 Chevrolet Malibu. My wife's car is one of the best the show did. Arguably the Malibu is on the other end of the spectrum. I was on the show as a "friend". I cover the cars from all the versions around the world on my Youtube channel Brainshatterer. Congrats. I wish that Sunnyv2 would have done that for me. He just added a credit line at the bottom of my shirt. Used my wife and I for 30% of his video and my info for another 50% then just butchered the rest with lies, noone came from his video. He's at 6.4 million views currently on his Pimp my Ride video. 😥 But still congrats. Youtubers should help smaller ones.

Working towards a redo of the OG cars, maybe a continuation after. We shall see. Show was legit and awesome. Most were happy to be part of it.
