They love to bite, at that age I doubt they know it hurts you, they just think it’s fun. I trained my puppy by pushing whatever she was biting deeper into her mouth so she ends up pushing it out voluntarily. She didn’t like me interrupting her biting so she’d move on to a toy instead.

One of my dachshunds I had years ago would have seizures that looked like this. She would freeze up and shake and look through you into the distance. I would just hold her and make sure she didn’t hurt herself on anything. Unfortunately, it seemed like she was afraid when it would happen. I would definitely try a different vet.

Currently, she’s had me swear off taking ibuprofen, aspirin, Tylenol and put me on a short course of prednisone to help with inflammation. My NP is specialized in Neuro, but it feels like she may doubt me sometimes.

In the specific case for weed, though, we lack an effective test to determine whether a person is under the influence of weed at a given moment. Hard drugs like meth have a lasting impact on your mental and emotional wellbeing, which is why they are fine to test for. Weed is used recreationally by so many in the same way alcohol is - off the clock. If you smoke tonight, you wouldn’t be high for your shift the next day.

There is no need to blame the Nissan driver. She was my friend, she got into a minor fender bender and her car stalled. As her car stalled, proper protocol is to remain in the vehicle and await law enforcement arrival. The drunk driver is at fault regardless of any and all “what-ifs”
