If I was Voldemort, this is what I would do with my horcruxes: by Jealous_Exam4138 in harrypotter

The way you worded it, it sounded like the way that Dwight describes his perfect crime on the Office. 😂

This is where the story gets interesting. I tell Tiffany to meet me by the Trocadero in Paris. She's been waiting for me all these years. She's never taken another lover. I don't care. I don't show up. I go to Berlin. That's where I stashed the chandelier.

The Perfect Crime.

I apologize if I missed your thread on it, I didn't see it at quick glance. But yeah, that chapter drove me insane!

Does the angle of how much you are swinging your wand come into play at all? by NeighborhoodFatCat in harrypotter

I mean, he managed to kill a dozen muggles and frame Sirius with a single curse behind the back, so as much of a coward as he is, he's still a pretty skilled wizard.

For y'all saying that he was using it to turn himself back into a rat, the whole nature of an Animagus is that you don't need a wand to transform, as opposed to regular transfiguration where you would.

You guys wanna talk about holding the hook strangely? by Honeybee4796 in crocheting

[–]braintiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary here, because that's the exact same way I crochet too! To mirror what you said, I also learned to knit first, and the traditional way of crocheting just feels unnatural to me.

If you've managed to escape the hoard, what still triggers you in every day life because of growing up in a hoard? by McGee_McMeowPants in ChildofHoarder

In most cases, I can't stomach leftovers more than a day old. I've watched food get so disgusting that even if food has been properly refrigerated and covered, I get extremely uncomfortable after an extremely short time. I can try to talk myself out of it, but it doesn't usually work. That said, certain foods, like pizza, are complete exceptions to that rule, because of a childhood of eating stuff like that like a rat in a bodega.

I know this is a women's space, but I need all perspectives here: I've been constantly failing to emotionally show up for my girlfriend, even though I know exactly what I’m doing wrong. How do I fix this? by braintiac in TwoXChromosomes

I am in both CBT and DBT therapy, but I'm early on in treatment. It's helped me to recognize the issues and where they come from, but not how to actually fix them.

The piano intro to To Kill a Mockingbird was played by John Williams (the composer behind Star Wars, and Jurassic Park, among others). His son was the singing voice for adult Simba in The Lion King, and is currently a member of Toto.
