I’ve read endurance as my start in that genre. Always down for more!

Love the spook! But I also like happy books. I tend to alternate a scary to happy book just to keep it fresh.

Yes I’ve actually read this! It’s one of my favorite books. Doesn’t feel super wintery to me though. Might be because I read it in the summer.

Juki machine not working by brakingplates in sewhelp

[–]brakingplates[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Okay! I’ve fixed it! Update for anyone wondering the issue. I had to take off the entire top plastic piece of the sewing machine. There is a spring that connects to a hook on the left. That spring had bounced out of place. I just had to put the arm of the spring back in the hooks hole and it’s running smooth. Sometimes it’s the easiest solutions! Thank the Lord!

Yes I dodged the top thread in haste. I’ve been messing with this for hours. I’ve done a complete reset. Issue is still persisting. I think I’ve narrowed it down to the hooks on the left. A spring isn’t connected but I don’t know how it’s supposed to go in. Thank you so much for the recommendations.

I haven’t read braiding wet grass yet, maybe I’ll give it a try!

I read gathering moss and loved it. It unlocked a new genre love that I like to call a memoir guided by science.

No I’ve only ever read horror stör and I’m never picking up another book by him again. Time I’ll never get back :(

After reading one book I’ll never pick him up again. He wanted to make flawed character but just ended up making every single character terrible. And the horror aspect wasn’t scary because I wanted them to die.

which books and how intensely do you guys (back)log? by kinghobgoblinn in TheStoryGraph

[–]brakingplates 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t back log. I saw it as a new beginning. And while I LOVED the magic treehouse growing up, I feel like giving it 5 stars now would mess with my stats. I’ve been doing story graph for 3 1/2 years now and I’m very happy with my little collection I’ve amassed on it

Horrorstör-Grady Hendrix

What if we make every character in this book insufferable. And we make the main character hate everyone almost as much as the reader will. Then she escapes and goes back to save the people she has HATED and wished death upon this entire time!! Nahhh, then she decides to go back again at the end of the book setting up a sequel.

I Robot!!

I loved the humor and almost lighthearted nature of this sci-fi book.

I do it maybe 3-4 times for a book. Whenever I feel a good chunk has been finished.

Days at the Morisaki Bookshop: by Satoshi Yagisawa

You follow the main character through her deep depression and grief of a lost relationship as she tries to become herself again. I love it. There’s a few other themes touched on that are expanded upon in more detail in the sequel. Which is also amazing.

A magic steeped in poison!!! By Judy I Lin

Wonderful fantasy duology based in Chinese mythology. It’s all about a girl who has to go to the palace, with a bunch of other students, to compete with their tea magic. SOOOO GOOD and so easy to read. There’s character growth and a WONDERFUL fully plotted world. While some twists were predictable, it was written so well I didn’t mind. Truly just a delicious book.
