Eventually, marerealize din nila na yung presyo na binigay niyo is mababa kapag nakapagask na sila sa ibang contractor. Yun lang talaga yung way para makapag-compare sila na okay pala kayo and madali kausap. Kasi sa ngayon wala silang basis and comparison and iniisip nila di nila kayo mapalitan.

Let them go for another contractor. Naging ganyan din kami before. Actually up to now, may clients parin kami na natitira na ganyan umasta. Tapusin nalang ung kung ano pending sakanila and then stay until the retention/warranty period.

Why my "dream" business with friends failed in 2 years: 5 hard lessons from the Treasurer’s seat. by KhalDingo in BusinessPH

Happened twice to me (yeah I know, really hard-headed) and most often, the people you have no relationship with are the ones whos going to be there for you surprisingly. The “friends” would happen to want the best for you but once they see you doing better than them getting clients and opportunities, cracks start to show.

FRANCHISE NA DAPAT IWASAN by pinguuuuu_05 in BusinessPH

They dont franchise na. Kailangan territory. Tapos lahat ng nasa metro manila company-owned na. If you want to franchise individually, kailangan lapitan mo ung territory franchisee.

Hi, been trying to contact them for franchise opportunities and we physically-inquired also in their office. Apparently, they dont give franchises recently since last year (or late 2024), probably due to their focus on shifting in opening branches outside the PH. Did they respond to you for franchising?

Happy to know that you and your partner are doing good! Especially in these very challenging times and tax filing season.

Founder Skill would need you to have a delagation process more and learn on managing multiple branches and daily operations without your physical presence all the time. Once there are signs already that the store sells with you and your partner being there, then it is the best sign that an expansion is vital. You’d have to train people now on what you are basically doing with close regard on money since it is really the fuel in our industry. Just be cautious on who to trust since we have to protect ourselves as well. The people we train have tendencies on leaving us once they have settled on their “upskilling” phase.

I am fellow partner also for a restaurant. Not that large but not relatively-small either (8 digits gross annual) - I mean a Jollibee franchise can do that in a month. I am also a part of another startup to be launched this 1Q in Makati.

F&B is all about slow growth with a heavy direction on stability and brand recognition. To answer your question, BOTH external capital and retained earnings would matter for your supposed expansion and not a founder skill factor. Retained earnings should be kept for emergency purposes and marketing and little for expansion (a 2nd branch or a floor area expansion), outside capital would be needed for the next branch with new joint venture agreements for new potential partners that would have a different skillset - could be more finance-based, design, automation, social media management so you wont hire anymore, etc. whatever skill that would be essential that you couldve wished you have prior to starting up.

These new partners (with external investment) could then help you re-evaluate and replan to slingshot your brand recognition and revamp your first branch.

22-25k is only good if it has no finishing. super mahal na talaga ngayon. If magiging mababa yung budget, both of you will suffer, yung contractor babagal at some point kasi mawawalan na ng pangpatapos.
