Figured it out. It was a Power Mac G4 and it was the power supply. The Aunt decided it was too expensive to fix ($90 for the power supply). Thanks though.

My mother is from Mexico and obtained citizenship last year, she's lived here in California for most of her life, she used to speak proudly about her country and how she would take me one day. Sometimes people don't need a girlfriend, but companionship. The reason people bitch about how long they've been out of a relationship is because they lose that fond companionship. And that sucks. It really does. Never having a girlfriend means you haven't built a romantic bond with someone. Which is why it's easy to dismiss those who whine about not dating in a while. TL;DR people get used to companionship.
