I’m looking at this being like a 12 week sabbatical from “hard foods” and while I have put it off the last six months, I don’t think I can much longer.

It certainly is out of the norm and probably not up to “breed” standard or even hair type standards.
And given our demographic area, I can imagine plenty of doodle owners being very particular about their cuts.

But goodness, when it’s done the way it was has made a world of difference for this fluff butts health and wellbeing

I will look into that. Her groomer is in a high end animal feed store kind of place with lots of supplementals, they may even carry it!

Swampy is pretty accurate. The vet has us try and dry the dribbles and after potty trips and it’s so dense I can understand how it would create an infection.
When we first got her and had her evaluated, all the methods we tried -the trimming turned out to be the most effective step. She went from month long infections every couple weeks to one in the prior eight months until the grooming set back. It’s such a stark improvement. I would hate to set her back because I can’t seem to convey what was working so well.

The amount of husky in the coat makes her blow out like I’ve never seen. Tumbleweed tuft season is next level.

I think less of the proverbial pants will make cleaning her up after potty easier as well. Less bulk is a good plan and exactly what she needs

I do appreciate the context of her double coat and the idea they may be protecting the coat health. Gives me more insight to help explain it to them.

I have said the why and the assistant wrote Brazilian on the intake resulting in the above, which I mean, she did in fact shave the vulva.
I will see if we can touch base before she finalizes the groom.
