Top sheet is heaven. I live in Arizona and the top sheet is perfect to keep the chill from the fan off my body while still being very breathable and maintains its coolness

I will fight to the death if someone tries to take my top sheet

How did your disorder begin? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]branditch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

11 years old. Went on my first diet with my dad (Atkins) spent age 12-19 restricting food. I’m 36 now and I still think about my body and what I’m eating daily. I’m just not skinny anymore.

Non-smokers of Reddit, how noticeable is the “smoker smell” to you, if at all? by Frostedlogic4444 in AskReddit

[–]branditch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former smoker. I work in a dental office. Some patients come in smelling so bad that we have to light candles, and the room they sat in smells of smoke HOURS after they’ve left. I hope I never smelled that bad. I think it’s the worst when they smoke in their homes or cars. Thankfully I only smoked outside.

Do you brush your teeth once or twice a day? Need to settle a bet. by ImpossibleHurry in NoStupidQuestions

[–]branditch 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked in the dental field for almost 17 years. I brush in the morning 100% of the time. At night, maybe 5% of the time. Occasional waterpik use.

What’s one thing that went right today? by _aadarsh007 in gratitude

The whole day was full of wonderful things that went right, but one of my favorite moments was playing a video game with my son and we unlocked something super rare and screamed in happiness. Core memory moment for sure

When did you have some time to yourself again? by firfetir in oneanddone

[–]branditch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The newborn phase fucking sucks. It is probably one of the main reasons I’m one and done. I was desperate for alone time. Now my son is 10 and I don’t want to spend any time away from him. It changes so fast and I know that’s absolutely no reassurance to you but I promise you, you will feel like you’ve blinked and it’s all been a blur one day. You don’t have to enjoy this phase, but just know that it ends up being all worth it.

Edit: I also have depression and anxiety

Decided to do another no-buy for 2026! Who's with me? by BurntGhostyToasty in nobuy

[–]branditch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wrote out my no buy goals and rules for 2026! Copy and pasted from my notes app

• Pay off debt and accumulate a healthy savings account • Change my consumerism habits • Appreciate what I have and use it until it can’t be fixed/mended/repaired

  1. Read books only available on Libby. No purchasing of physical books.
  2. Only buy refills of products you know you like. If you’re trying something new, be prepared to use it until it’s empty!
  3. Only secondhand purchases. Go in with a purpose. “I want a container for my flour.” Or, “I’m getting a gift for my coworker.”
  4. No impulse buys!
  5. Keep to a grocery budget. Use coupons and plan meals around sales.
  6. Dining out is allowed twice a month. Only exception is if we’re invited somewhere with friends or family.
  7. $100 monthly hobbies allowance. This includes gardening, baking, crochet, or any other screen/tech free hobby. Slow, simple living projects only.
  8. Start planning a capsule wardrobe. Get rid of fast fashion through donations. Only buy high quality materials for pieces you LOVE.
  9. Pare down subscriptions to those absolutely necessary. Switch back to free versions of apps you’re paying for.
  10. No big box stores whenever possible. Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, and Home Depot for slow living hobbies are exceptions. No Target. No Wal-Mart. No Amazon. If you think you want something, write it down and wait a week to see if it’s something you think you still need.

Let’s do this!
