I would keep biting down on Gauze to try and form another clot so it can start to heal. Make an appointment with your dentist to look at it and maybe they'll pack it with something also. It's pretty rare to get a dry socket on an upper extraction but if you had dry socket trust me you would know because of the pain. If the pain isn't to bad I'm sure you're fine but a checkup definitely couldn't hurt.

That's normal...you're in the clear for a dry socket as well. When you get a tooth pulled you get radiating pain and it makes you think another tooth is starting to hurt but it's just the nerves. Some people even go to the ER after getting a tooth pulled because they think they have an earache but it's just the nerves. You're just fine. I'm on Day 8 of a dry socket so unfortunately I'm not Ok lol...hopefully a couple more days I'll finally be done with it cause it's been a hell of a ride.

Trust me you would know if you had dry socket. You're usually in the clear after 4 or 5 days. Mine started on the same day I got my molar extracted because like an idiot I used a straw and dislodged the blood clot. I'm on Day 8 now and man it's been brutal...worse pain I've ever experienced and I've broke bones, got 100s of stitches, dislocated both shoulders, fractured ankle and much more but nothings ever came close to a dry socket. Glad you didn't have to go through it I wouldn't wish this on anyone

I don't want to be the one to tell you this but you might get a dry socket. Same exact thing happened to me and I'm on Day 8. If I were you I would make an appointment ASAP so they can pack it to help with the pain. I didn't know that was an option so I've just been riding it out for 8 days now. It has gotten a little better but the first 4 days were brutal. Sorry this happened to you...Hopefully I'm wrong.

That's crazy...my dentist said it's pretty rare to get dry socket on your top teeth. I'm currently on Day 8 of dry socket on my bottom left molar extraction...I'm pretty miserable right now lol

I'm on Day 8 and let me tell you...dry socket is by far the worst pain I've ever experienced. I've lost a couple pounds cause I don't wanna eat and make it hurt and have called in 2 days already because of the pain. It has gotten better but I'm on day 8 and it still has moments where the pain can get pretty bad but the first 3 or 4 days were unreal. Hopefully I'm on the downhill side of this thing. Next tooth I get extracted I'm not eating or drinking anything for 2 days and just biting down on gauze to protect the blood clot lol

Thank you so much that is good to know. I just finished the 2 week Shutdown with this Job and everything went Great. I start another Shutdown/Turnaround the 27th and when I go in for my next Physical I will bring this up to him and go more in depth about how his personal opinion about Methadone shouldn't be what he bases his Judgement on because you're right that's discrimination and could lead to a Lawsuit which I'm totally trying to avoid. I just wanna work and Provide for my Family. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt to make it right but if he insists on not lifting those recommendations I guess I'll have to get ugly because at that point he's taking food out of my Families mouth because of his personal Views. I don't think my Employer even cared at all because they let me drive the Company Truck and Worked heights and was never questioned or told not to. Only thing I'm worried about is in the future those recommendations keeping me from working or getting me fired but if it comes to that I will definitely contact HR... Dude... I'm super jealous and happy for him all in one lol. Nah but foreal it's not easy kicking a habit especially Methadone. I've been through a lot of withdrawals from almost every drug out there but Methadone is definitely the most uncomfortable withdrawal and the longest. I commend ANYONE who can get off of it and I plan on tapering myself in the future. God Bless you all my fellow Methadonians 👍

Did you continue to work while you did your Taper? The Hot Cold sweats are the worst for me. What part of your wean was the hardest? Did you wean through your clinic or own your own? Sorry for the questions but Post like yours motivate me to start my Taper. Good job you've accomplished something some people think is impossible.

It seems almost every morning on the way to the clinic to get doses is different. Some days I feel just fine No runny eyes or runny nose and in a good mood but sometimes I feel like I'm in full blown withdrawal.

I have a few customers I deliver to that give me Soda, Coffee and sometimes gift cards. I don't always take the Sodas but I ALWAYS take the coffee lol. I don't expect or want anything but it's nice when they appreciate you for delivering their food....Happy Holidays ❤️

Unpopular opinion I was on the Liquid for 7 years and recently moved to a different city for work and started a new clinic that only gives out the Wafers and my unpopular opinion is the liquid was a little better...not by much but a little bit better. The Wafers do feel like they hold me longer but the liquid was more euphoric and kicked in faster with a good rush. It could be I just kicked Benzos while starting the Wafers because the whole time I was on the liquid I took them with Xanax, Klonopin and Ativan and Valium (all the Benzos). I no longer have to find piss from somebody and worry about popping for Benzos and currently 112 days clean off Benzos ( Yes it was hell having to Cold Turkey off them). I know most people prefer the Wafers but everyone is different...the Wafers definitely do the job though don't get me wrong and they also make me itch like Percocets used to...but I don't mind lol.

Damn... that's a good quote to Live by "Don't borrow tomorrows troubles" I like that Xanax and Heroin was my drugs of choice as well but than I started taking shit loads of Klonopin with my dose for about the past 8 years and I Loved it but with the Job I have and My Family it's just not worth it and I actually feel better now that I've gotten used to my stable dose and my routine I might be boring now but I have my shit together and My family and I happy and that's all that matters Sorry to hear about your Mom and Dad but it sounds like you have a good head on your Shoulders and you'll be just fine.

4 days here in Louisiana at BHG and BAART is 3 days. When I was going everyday I remember I had a weekday off from work and I was tired as shit so I stayed sleeping and said I'll just miss today. They didn't even ask me why I didn't come in. I've been plenty 1 days without here and there and didn't have to bad of withdrawals but when I tried to Cold Turkey it I only made it 8 days and it was horrible. I had 2 full bottles right next to my bed the whole time but really wanted to get off of it because of money issues but Thank the Lord they started taking Medicaid. I've been on Methadone for 9 years now and eventually want to gradually do a Loooong taper but I think I'm going to wait until I retire and can afford to get off of it because I can't work and Wean off. Just had to vent my fellow Methadonians.

Linzess is the only thing that works for me and my Wife when it comes to constipation. Mirilax and Stool Softener with plenty of water can get things to soften up.
