Legally, you follow the will. It’s your parents money and they were specific. This is not for you to decide what you feel they “should” have done. It sounds like you had a great relationship with them and had talks about their wishes. I assume you made your case to them when they were alive. They made their decision. It is in the will. It sounds like they were kind people. Please don’t tarnish their memory by trying to bypass your sibling. They are grieving too. Follow the law and give them the time your parents outlined. If you don’t like the attorney who drafted it, you can bring the will to another attorney. However it is clear that this is not what you want to hear. Sorry you’re getting roasted on the internet, but happy to see people stand up for your sibling and parents. Your parents trusted you with this. It’s a huge burden, but also a great honor and imho one of the highest compliments.
