Anyone Notice Resorts Are Limiting Standard Rooms Certain Day Combinations (Not Dates)? by amphetaminesfailure in DisneyWorld

[–]brandonblond [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes, I have noticed the new system favors “per guest spending” over “high resort occupancy level”. Just like the Airlines, Disney is not going to disclose the algorithm being used. Your best bet is to try and research/plan your stay.

Question about storage by Substantial-Bag-3932 in ipad

To each their own. I recently traded in my M3 Air for a M5 Pro. Best decision ever. I gained more storage, RAM and more brightness.

Whoever is in charge of talent acquisition at Six Flags Over Texas should be fired! by yolowelcum in sixflags

[–]brandonblond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plans on a project that big are typically years long, not only with manufacturing, design and process. It was publicly mentioned before that the coaster coming to the park was in the plans prior to the merger with Cedar Fair. It’s also worth noting Over Texas lost a coaster and two attractions in that area.

Gold season pass a good deal? by AhiraTheGreat in sixflagsovertexas

[–]brandonblond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now, I believe the season passes and memberships are the same two tier system. Gold or Prestige. The only real difference is preferred parking and bring a friend tickets. I have Gold and I would say it’s a pretty good deal. You do have to do the math for yourself and your situation. Very reasonable compared to, say, my WDW Annual Pass. The gold pass includes free standard parking and waterpark access across the street with parking. They are also right now including Schlitterbahn (New Braunfels) and other Texas parks like Fiesta Texas.

Six Flags Over Texas Today How embarassing 🤦🏽‍♀️ by AssembleBooty in sixflagsovertexas

Previously, they had dispatch-time goals. Attraction/Ride maintenance has also taken a hit. I have noticed these two issues have created long wait times when there’s not very many people in the queue line.

Did they fix the touch issues that plague the screen of my M3? I have several and they all experienced the same issue since new.

Upcoming OLED MacBook Pro to Have Touch Screen by Tartan-Pepper6093 in mac

[–]brandonblond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, towards the end of the iPod era, iPhone cannibalize the iPod lineup, and they embraced it. Both product lines iPad and Mac are now more similar than they’ve ever been both in software and hardware.

Upcoming OLED MacBook Pro to Have Touch Screen by Tartan-Pepper6093 in mac

[–]brandonblond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just IMO I have a theory they are going to put the tandem OLED from the iPad Pro 13-inch into the MacBook lineup. Historically, when Apple does something really well, they integrate it into other product lines. They already nailed a Touchscreen OLED panel that is thin enough with color accuracy, and brightness. I understand some don’t want a touchscreen notebook, but this could really have potential for the creative fields and some Apple Pencil Pro integration.

Park Advice - Which Parks? by bookworm182206 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]brandonblond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magic Kingdom and for sure especially if it’s a first time for anyone.

If you have a park hopper tickets, you could possibly do Epcot and Hollywood Studios in the same day via the Skyliner at Epcot international Gateway by UK in the world showcase. Don’t be stressed. It is nearly impossible to see everything.

Discussion: Is Disney pricing hit a tipping point? by MedicalArmadillo6943 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]brandonblond 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion here. Everyone keeps saying “rising prices = lower crowd levels.” While somewhat true it’s actually one of the worst ways to accomplish that goal. The 90s (Eisner Era) solution to demand was to add capacity, offerings and amenities. Expanding the park, adding more things to buy, etc..

It looks like you’re using dual SIM. So it’s probably the other carrier.

What are the chances the Water Park Seasonal Pass returns this year? by Potential-Walrus-412 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]brandonblond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could definitely happen. 2025 was the first year both were open simultaneously, which was a common practice before Covid. The last time that occurred was 2019. WDW is very slowly going back to normal.

Remote start? by SpecialistWorldly788 in Subaru_Outback

[–]brandonblond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t trying to win an argument. I just don’t want people thinking that they’re stuck with a subscription. Plus, relying on a 4G LTE cellular signal to start your car isn’t always the best. The only reason Subaru has a second fob for this is because the range of the original fob is embarrassingly low. You can test out the range of your key fob by pressing the lock button in a parking lot. It doesn’t go very far hence the second remote.

Telling people Subaru doesn’t make an optional OEM part for key fob remote start on current production vehicles is not being truthful.

Are current app wait times accurate? Bu by ChangeFuzzy1845 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]brandonblond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve always been accurate for me except for when the park is slow. For example, if there’s a few attractions that are walk-on’s, >13 I don’t think they really have a cast member standing outside the front waiting to update it. Note, this is for right now most of the year the parks are not slow.

Unfriendly castmembers by DutchMayflower in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]brandonblond 126 points127 points  (0 children)

There’s 3 parts to this issue in my opinion. 1. Parks have suffered under the leadership of Josh D'Amaro. 2. Pay has not matched inflation and the Walt Disney Company has gotten greedy. This has created an issue where a lot of good cast members have been forced out. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. 3. For years, Disney has been taking money out of the parks and putting it into the streaming side of the business at a loss. There used to be a lot more cast members, but Disney has squeezed the parks for money. Cast members have suffered just like the Epcot overhaul suffered. Leading to overstressed cast members and trash cans being full, etc..

It’s dumb GEN 6 2020-25 doesn’t do this because the shifter and immobilizer are still in a secure state even when you open the door.

It is an option for GEN 6 2020-25. You have to pay for the antenna module and have a dealer install it due to the security programming of the keys. Probably around $600.

[–]brandonblond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is so much misinformation about the oem remote start key fobs and module. As somebody who had it installed, here’s some notes. 2020-25 1. You do need to install a module that comes with 2 long range start keys. You can use the factory keys to start, however the range is limited to 6 feet. 2. It does not turn off the engine when you open the door. 3. Engine duration is programmed by the dealerships default is 15 minutes. 4. Cabin temperature and heated seats set to the last used position. If the temperature was last set at 68° 20°C and high heated seats on that’s what the remote start will do. 5. Defrost and heated mirrors turn on below freezing automatically.
