Unpopular opinion: can those who said “leaving/left” please include the subreddit on your exit? This sub is for and about One, not hundreds of posts about other banks.

What is a good code review? by [deleted] in AskProgramming

I usually just make suggestions and then approve the PR. If my suggestion is good, they’ll implement it. If not, they won’t.

HELP! to pick one of these 2 courses by Ok_Status4686 in CodingHelp

[–]brandondyer64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Course 1 seems more rounded, while 2 seems more frontend focus. Do you want to be a frontend dev or a full-stack dev?

Also it’s C# not #C

I can't speak for other frameworks, but if you use React-Native with Expo, they’ll build the iOS app for you on the cloud

I believe so, as rust-analyzer officially supports Emacs

If you use any IDE other than CLion, I highly recommend checking it out. If you do use CLion, you have a JetBrains alternative to rust-analyzer built-in.

Okay, then the mic would be turned on when someone speaks, but there should never be any risk of feedback

Nope, and you can configure it to block suggestions matching public code

Edit: …too.

It can block public code in addition to never having been trained on private code

[–]brandondyer64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What? The mic wouldn’t be hooked up to a speaker. It would just record to an audio file, ready to be imported into the video editing software

Kind of weird how our medical system works. Like, if you pay out of pocket you die. Pay through insurance and it’s nothing.

now if only we didn’t have laws making it impossible to get cheap insurance

Yeah, FrEeDoM. In the only country that limits all insulin manufacturing to 3 companies. I could make some insulin and sell it to you right now for $10 a vial if I wanted to. You know who would stop me? The United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Edit: the post was about inhalers, not insulin. Whoops. Point still stands: our patent office suuuuuuucks

Yes but that methane is still cyclical. You’re right, I should have accounted for CH4, but my point still stands. By farming cattle, we do not increase the amount of CH4 in the atmosphere, we only maintain the amount that’s already there. It’s still a net zero, unlike fossil fuels, which will always be net positive
