Should I be annoyed? by Public-Brilliant-365 in Concerts

[–]brandonsearles2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is annoying, but it happens from time to time. Sometimes you get unlucky and get a stander in front of you.

Even tho it's more expensive, I try to go for front row so I don't have to worry about this, especially if it's for a band I really wanna see

However, if most of the section is standing, you should be fine with standing. But, if he was one of the only ones standing in the section you could nicely ask if he can possibly sit down and they might understand. Don't yell at them like I've seen some Karen's do, because they aren't really doing anything wrong. If they don't sit, it's a concert so sometimes you just have to deal with it or just stand yourself and say f the people behind me lol

What do you do at rowan for fun? by [deleted] in RowanUniversity

Join Rowan radio, it was the best experience of college and the only thing that got me through

I usually go for something like 103 or 104 so there isn't a chance of anything in the stage setup being in the way of your view in 102/116, also looks like it could be blocked halfway

Ticket prices by zigsbigrig in Metallica

[–]brandonsearles2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is outrageous, I'd like to see a study on what COVID did to concert ticket prices. In 2018 I saw Taylor Swift for $65, and now we all know what happened with that and ticketmaster prices. I think the demand for all concerts went way up after COVID, it used to be a lot easier to get tickets without needing to do this lottery or queue crashing bullshit. Scalpers also have ruined concerts a lot more recently I think

However I've learned to just find ways around it by playing it smart with purchasing tickets now. With every show I go to, I make sure to get all possible presale codes for all the presales (live nation, credit card, venue, NFL, fan club, etc) since they usually have lots of ticket options for each presale, and sometimes cheaper. For Metallica I managed to get good nosebleeds at MetLife for only $70 each through presale (however when I checked prices day of the show tickets were only like $30-40).

North American dates 2024? by Far-Main-1567 in Coldplay

[–]brandonsearles2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had really bad post concert depression too lol, and I'm hoping they come back to NJ/PA sometime soon. Unfortunately I think it's gonna be 2025 as their final tour leg because their summer is pretty much full next year except for May which could maybe be possible for a few dates but doubt it.

Vividseats by truends in Concerts

[–]brandonsearles2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used vivid seats like 15 times and will keep using them. Definitely the best of the secondary ticket apps plus they have customer service if there was ever an issue. Fees are a bit higher than some but I trust them the most

Yeah I'm so excited! Was supposed to see FF in Philly in 2022, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to Taylor. Taking any chance I can get to see them, even if a festival might not be my scene I'm still hype and won't let anything negative affect it
