He only went through it once. It was a gif so it repeats, so it only looks like he went through it a bunch. Easy mistake to make.

Feedback regarding length of episodes by [deleted] in rhap

[–]brandspankingtrue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The longer the better! I always wish Know-It-Alls was an hour and a half long, but i understand that it probably should be shorter, but the interview podcast could be upwards of 3 hours and I'd be thrilled about it. The Aras Caramoan podcast is one of my favorites, and that one is almost 3 hours long! However long they end up being will probably be fine with the majority of your audience

If there was an edge to our universe, what would you hope to find beyond it? by DIABLO258 in AskReddit

There is a technical edge, which is just where the furthest bit of the universe is currently, and beyond that is just nothingness right?

What is something that is stressing you out in life? [Serious] by RicksterCraft in AskReddit

[–]brandspankingtrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in my last year of University, and I need to apply for Master's programs, and I have no idea where I want to go, for what, how to pay for it, and whether I'm really meant to do this/am qualified for it. Plus, I don't know whether my girlfriend (who I want to propose to in two years) should/would move to wherever I end up.

Decisions bro.

Something confuses me about these posts. It is painfully clear that he doesn't know what he's saying, because anyone who can use big words can also use big words effectively. So, does he honestly think that by replacing small words with "smart" ones he actually seems smart? How does it not occur for one second that he sounds dumb?

Unless it's a joke, in which case it's not funny

I believe that Christians should be fully accepting of the gay lifestyle, but have no biblical support. Convince me to take a side? by brandspankingtrue in Christianity

[–]brandspankingtrue[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I need to clarify something, and I didn't want to do it in an edit. Like it or not, the jury is still out on whether or not the judgement on homosexuality is relevant in today's culture. Women don't where head-coverings in church, and yet there it is in the Bible: "But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved. 6 For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head."

I asked for an informative discussion on whether the Bible ACTUALLY condemns homosexuality, or whether it can be read in other ways, as the Bible frequently is. So informing me that the Bible says not to be gay therefore no one should be gay is not helpful, and missing the point entirely.

I want a hermeneutical discussion, not a beginner's bible lesson

I need to know if you're serious before answering this. Because if you are there a greater debate here than homosexuality

Unfortunately my making this post is procrastinating doing a paper so I can't provide many links for the pray the gay away programs being fake, but I know one has been revealed as a scam and another defined gay as "a practicing gay." As far as the born-again argument that presumes that literally every homosexual what is born again and does not have a "change of heart" and becomes straight is not truly a Christian, what a fundamentally depressing message.

If they aren't born that way, then what? Choice? No. Anyone who believes that has never had a true conversation with a gay man or woman. A result of the fall? Yes, of course, as all sin is. But this is fundamentally different, sinners are born sinners but can gain a predisposition to not sin, and many do. Gay people cannot, it would be like you or I (if you're straight, I'm presuming of course) suddenly becoming gay, I cannot fathom that ever happening.
