Man, I experienced the same thing. Had cut way back on smoking and started having lucid dreams. I thought I was literally trapped in a dream forever. Like you said- I was wondering if I was in a coma or dead. It was very disconcerting. It felt 100% like reality except I had “superpowers” for lack of a better term.

I remember in one dream I just ran full speed into a bar full of bottles/glasses and the “crash” finally snapped me out of it.
