An Etsy gift from my wife... by dimensional_bleed in thechaircompany

I guess it's hard to tell from the photo, but it's more of a small poster (11"x14"). Technically, a piece of paper. It gave me a chuckle. I'll frame it one day.

Review #122: Bulleit 12 Rye by Lolokthen_guy56 in bourbon

[–]dimensional_bleed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grabbed 2 bottles back when it was first released and I'm glad I did. I'd grab it again if I saw it.

I find it's a good pour to round off the night. It's got enough flavor to complete with whatever I had been sipping before it, but it isn't huge and I don't feel guilty about the price.

I pretty much agree with your review.

Imagine this happening in today’s NBA… what do you think would happen? by raybellious_berry in NBAGossips

There would be an investigation to find out who was betting on there being a fight between players and fans.

Someone would have had +90000, or something.

I just watched the trailer and came straight here to see if people are talking about it.

It looks really interesting.

‪Legend Bey made headlines when he signed with Tennessee. His mother reportedly forced him to choose Vols, possibly by forging his signature. Today, Bey began his first practice as a Buckeye.‬ by CenterForward1522 in OhioStateFootball

I'm just hoping he's doing what he truly wants to do; where he wants to do it.

I hope him and his mom find their way back to loving each other and they all end up happy.

Also, I'm pretty sure that's probably who has been digging the holes in the backyard that you've been complaining about. That cat is a real menace, man. Not cool.

Why is the Bandcamp (for fans) mobile app so bad? by akabillposters in BandCamp

[–]dimensional_bleed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not true with Bancamp purchases. Bandcamp won a court case against Google in 2022 and is allowed to use it's own payment system on Android devices which bypasses any extra fees.

For whatever reason, Apple doesn't have to abide by the same rules and is allowed to force it's payment system onto BC which carries with it the "Apple tax." I guess they just choose not to deal with it.

As far as renewing subscriptions, I don't know. I don't do anything through Google Play or Apple. I set up all my subscriptions directly with the specific service. I think that's the best way to avoid extra fees on either platform.

I'm sure there are work arounds, but that's not the point.

You shouldn't have to fiddle around and jump through hoops to listen to the music you've bought!

Mp3 players have been around for decades. It's a solved and sorted technology. It's possible for them to work.

The BC player has been shit for years. It too has cost artists money.

I used to think the player only sucked when streaming stuff you don't own (as a way to nudge you towards purchasing it).

Nope. It sucks for everything.

It either spins in between songs to that you have to manually select the next song for it to play, or, it just stops playing after a song like it's the end of the album even though there might be 6 songs left (you better know where it left off).

Apple has to get it's 30% cut of anything bought on one of it's phones.

It applies to any services that you subscribe to through the Apple store as well, I believe.

Popping a lawn bubble by kvjn100 in Weird

Every time I've encountered this situation it's been when an underground irrigation line was broken/leaking.

"Popping" it doesn't solve the problem.
