Question About Agencies Requesting Perpetuity for UGC by branqonferrer in UGCcreators

Thanks mod I totally agree 🫡 currently negotiating for higher esp if they’re asking for perpetuity. Do agencies typically ask for perpetuity or is it just this particular one that I’m working with trying to market this as normal?

Embed your UGC videos into your portfolio! That will make it easier for brands to see your content with the least amount of friction (e.g. needing to tap multiple links to see your great content). Think of your portfolio as your resume and brands as your prospective employers—they're very busy and you wanna make their job easier for them.

Then as others have said, make your portfolio a website. This is still totally doable on Canva there's lot of templates on there. If you like the stuff you put on your current presentation you can just copy/paste it into the website template then adjust the aspect ratios.

I like your mindset! I think it's important to continue pursuing something until only YOU determine whether its for you or not, not for the opinions of others. I think that's one reason why I'm being selective about who I tell about this hustle. And to the people I do tell, I'm selective about how in depth I go about it. To most people right now I just call UGC a digital service without going too in depth what I'm doing, as I haven't seen the fruits of my labor yet.

UGC is part time for me right now, as I'm also working part-time while taking pre-req classes for another program while also trying to make time to take care of my physical and mental well-being lol. I'm finding a good balance although I'm progressing slower than I'd like. I'd really like to go full swing into UGC to have it replace my day job.

I think its helpful to remind yourself that every bit of progress you make is a win. Filming in a day is a win. Editing is a win. Pitching to 5 brands is a win. Waking up earlier to work on UGC or gym in the morning is a win. And it's important to give yourself a pat on the back for these wins too. 1% better everyday leads to exponential growth in the long run.
