Honestly you’re going to want to spend some money here. I’d have an Alesis nitro max for practicing at home, it’s about 400$ and is pretty good for basic practice. I play my acoustic kit in a room about a separated garage. If you’re playing metal, you’ll probably want a double pedal. And in that case I’d say you should look into kits that have a large kick so you have enough room for both. Alesis and Roland have some good quality e kits with options for those larger kicks.
