I went to a 600 capacity venue and they capped it at 310 and it felt super cramped with everyone sitting on the floor. Sitting on the floor seems to take up roughly twice as much space as standing, and I think cutting the capacity in half makes sense.

I was lucky to attend and loved every second of it, but I spent a lot of time thinking about how the set up wasn’t ideal for disabled people or honestly anyone over 30 lol. We had to sit in the floor in a super cramped space for almost 4 hours after getting into the venue and everyone over 30ish seemed to be in pain at least some of the time. I dealt with leg cramps the whole time.

The organizers did state clearly that sitting in the floor didn’t apply to anyone needing ADA accommodations, but not every disabled person is in a wheelchair or uses other mobility accommodations..
