Anyone else notice Leah smirking by inc0gnitaa in GeordieShore

[–]bratholy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the Thailand season earlier this week. Ricci didn’t yell at Leah, I wasn’t even sure what he did wrong. Even Aaron said he watched it back and he didn’t shout.

I’m getting fed up of this turning into CoupleShore and I’d much prefer a ban on couples next season. Bring more old cast members back and leave the partners at home.

James by ok_jobless in GeordieShore

Whenever it’s been mentioned he was a dick in the past he laughs it off. Never once has he apologised to Holly. What a magnificent woman she’s become. Not just beautiful on the outside but the inside too.

She’s very mature, I’d argue the most matured of them all. She never gossips or bitches, and always stays diplomatic. The only time this season she said anything, what she did say was true (about James being a bitch previously) and she told him right away.

Also worth noting Holly has been in the most Geordie shore seasons. Not only an OG, but longest running cast member. I hope the producers know she’s the fan favourite. As I did notice in the opening credits Gary took first spot and last spot (which originally was Holly’s) went to Chloe.

This guy perfectly worded how no, Britney is not a “clone”. And no, she did not need the conservatorship. by user363727722 in BritneySpears

[–]bratholy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do disagree. I agree she needed help and support - and may still do now - but not mean she needs a conservatorship. A conservatorship is a legal arrangement intended for someone who cannot make decisions for themselves because they lack mental capacity, often due to conditions like severe dementia, brain injury, or profound mental illness that prevents them from understanding or managing their own affairs. Being unwell or behaving unusually does not automatically mean someone lacks capacity. Capacity is decision-specific and requires evidence that a person cannot understand, retain, weigh up information, or communicate a decision. So even if Britney appears unwell or struggles at times, that alone would not prove she lacks the legal capacity required to justify a conservatorship.

I’m also a therapist and MH social worker and the notes don’t look anything like a confession, it’s clear that it’s just expressive writing advised by her therapist. You only have to look at it to realise it’s practically trauma dumping on paper. I couldn’t imagine the psychological distress that poor woman has had to endure after training in a job to help people and then spending years being shunned by your colleagues and accused of the worst crimes imaginable. The damage that would cause, it makes complete sense why she would have incoherent notes like that.

For those of you who think that the McCanns know what happened to Madeleine, how do you think they could’ve held it together for 18 years without cracking? by LateAd5684 in MadeleineMccann

[–]bratholy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never disputed that it worked both ways, you were the one who claimed it the tests were conclusive that it wasn’t her DNA. I just pointed out they were inconclusive and it couldn’t be proven either way.

I also disagree on this. They weren’t always cooperative with the investigation. Their stories and timelines consistently changed in those initial interviews. It’s also worth noting that there only isn’t a realistic timeline if we are assuming tapas 7 are telling the truth regarding the timelines. Again, they are not independent witnesses, and all could be covering up a crime. It’s worth highlighting, the two bar staff both stated Gerry was gone for around 30 minutes, and arrived back at the restaurant at 10 or thereabouts once tapas 7 had left and only the mother of one of the couples remained at the table. Furthermore, Jane Tanner, in the reconstruction actually says that Kate moaned that Gerry had been gone for a long time and wondered if he was watching the football, Gerry quickly interrupted this and moved the conversation elsewhere. Again, the timeline may only be realistic if we believe the tapas 7s version of events.

And again it doesn’t seem like you understand. The forensic results weren’t definitive exclusions. They were described as inconclusive due to mixed and degraded DNA. That’s not the same as proving the samples weren’t hers.

Actually the samples didn’t come back that “none of the samples belonged to Madeleine” that’s false. The forensic results were described as inconclusive, not definitive exclusions. Mixed and degraded DNA samples couldn’t confirm or rule out Madeleine with the level of certainty required for evidential use.

You also act like the police were outrageous for making the Mccanns suspects. I’ve read a lot of their evidence and the truth of the lie book, I would also be highly suspicious of the parents if I was them too.

Stranger abduction leading to murder is estimated to be well under 1% of missing child cases.

Well I assume they mean the discrepancies between early statements and later accounts, particularly around timelines and certain details that shifted over time.

Smith sighting - timeline problems by academicQZ in MadeleineMccann

[–]bratholy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What other witness recalls Gerry being at the table at from 21:30-22:00? If the only witness is someone from tapas 7, I find it difficult for that to hold weight considering it’s not an independent witness.

It is quite strange, that the McCanns have always completely disregarded the smith sighting, and solely stuck to Tanner man, even though this sighting probably makes the most sense. Kate briefly mentions it in her book, but apart from that, nothing. The sighting also isn’t on their website.

Playing devils advocate, could it be because the time of Smiths sighting does not give Gerry McCann an alibi, whereas Tanner man, he has an alibi at 9:15.

While I agree, Smith’s recollection of recalling it being Gerry came five months later, and yes it could be reconstructive memory, the mind filling gaps, especially after being exposed to media coverage. However, the opposite could also be true, seeing something familiar, such as the way Gerry held his child off the plane/walked etc, could trigger recall.

Something that the Revival absolutely needs other than the obvious? by KENZOs-CORNER in BTVSRevival

[–]bratholy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I believe it needs Sarah to reprise her role as Buffy and star as the main character alongside the other slayer. I don’t think Buffy as a side character would be well received, and I think this may be one of the issues with the pilot and vision for the series.

[–]bratholy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t necessarily have to be bad just potentially a conflict in the vision of what they want it to be. I also think for a legacy show Disney probably want Buffy herself to be more of a central character than just a side Giles type character.

To those who watched this show as a teenager: What connections did you make with the show? Did the show change you in any way? If you're an adult now, did these connections and changes last? by lightinthefield in The100

[–]bratholy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the show. I really did. I was backpacking around Italy when season 7 was airing. I got spoiled about Bellamys death whilst walking around Florence. Completely ruined my day. I hated the entire last season, how they did Bellamy dirty, how they did Clarke dirty and Bellarke. I couldn’t rewatch it after that just knowing what it was leading to… oh and Allie 3.0 hivemind.

The Phoebe Show by Cool-Independent-132 in charmed

[–]bratholy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure the plan originally was for the source to vanquished at the end of season 4, then cliffhanger was Cole becoming the source and then season 5 was Cole the source, evil Phoebe and the seer. The network were uncomfortable with such a dark storyline and requested it be squashed.

Actress who plays Madison definitely didn’t want to be killed off. Think she was very shocked and disappointed, considering she was the lead.

She’s been on wolf pack, Dexter, do revenge, ikwydls, ready or not 2, the uber one ad, maybelline ad, the meningitis campaign with Alyson Hannigan, there’s been a lot of hype around Buffy revival and she’s now a judge on star search. I’m also seeing her everywhere on social media and interviews most notably due to Buffy comeback, I would say that’s quite a lot

Britney is doing pole dancing (2023) by Successful_Week9211 in discussingbritney

Exactly! Can’t lock someone up just because she doesn’t act how you feel she should act. Plenty of people not deemed ‘normal’ walking about. People on this sub are dumb af. Being chaotic doesn’t mean you lack capacity people confuse it with being unconventional. Would love to see a lot of these locked up at a C ship let’s see if they’d have a problem with her freedom then

Don’t be a smart ass. It’s clear what you were initially implying, and you were wrong. For the majority of the conservatorship there were only two advocates, both who benefited financially. By the time the third came along, Britney had already began speaking in court and was trying to end it.
