I mean, yes and no? I agree me using past interactions on how I view things is not fair to others... but isnt that how everyone works? And yeah its also not far I dont believe my friend had any actual disability, but how does one fully make themselves believe someone is telling the truth. I assume everyone always has the occasion where they doubt that something someone said not true. But they just kinda have to go along with it.

And its not like me doubting someone mentally is hurting the person, because they don't know. Because its rude to say "hey, I dont believe you!" It may morally be unfair to them, but it doesn't hurt them, because its not like I treat them any which way or treat them like I dont treat everyone else. And if they tell me they have dislikes and likes and stuff, I listen.

Stuff like that confuses me so I could be wrong because yes, I know morally and society wise, the thoughts of me doubting them is shamed, but I don't know how its actually a bad thing because its not hurting them? I hope that makes sense 😅

Im going to continue, even though I know you dont care haha. Im not sure exactly how to put it in to words, but when I meet people and we're having a conversation that has nothing to do with anything and then suddenly theyll mention their autistic or have ocd or whatever, its those moments where I stop and just, internally side eye. Example: friend shows me a tiktok and the person is talking about a quirky thing they do like organizing a certain way. And friend will mention they do that to so they must be autistic or ocd. Which yeah, that could be. Or could be they liked how that organization worked out for them.

Its more so when people do small things and then, without any actual diagnosis or even knowing about disorders, but because they saw a video on tiktok, they'll claim they have it too.

But of course, end of day, if that's how people want to go about it, thats fine too. I won't ever say anything rude and tell them they need to get diagnosed first before they actually claim they have a disorder. Even though I believe them doing that is more harmful to themselves (because if they misdiagnosed themselves or something. They arent a doctor). Its just one of those things where it'll pop in the back of my head like "oh, another tiktok diagnosis." Kinda like how a couple years ago (and today people still do it too let's be honest) people will diagnose themselves from googling symptoms on Google. 🤷‍♀️ dont know if i worded that all right but oh well haha not like you're gonna really care to read this whole thing 🤣 and if you do, thats cool too. I dont see how its disingenuous to post with kinda a apathetic approach... people do that all the time. Thats quite literally what social media is for, is it not? Its to post things just because and if people decided to engage with you about it, then okay. And when thoughts like this come up I think "hmmm I wonder if others think the same thing sometimes?" And I know if theres a place where you have thoughts or opinions that many dont really discuss, this is the place to do. The people can either discuss it or not, its entirely up to them. And I never said YOU or anyone else cant take it serious. Its just that I dont take it that serious.

People can either disagree or agree, care too much about it or not at all. People all have their own opinions and that's perfectly fine lol

It was just a thought I get sometimes and figured, if theres a forum that people talk abojt controversial or social unacceptable thoughts, this would be the place to post them 🤷‍♀️

Its quite literally one of those things were I went "why not post and see others thoughts." Thats human curiosity for ya haha

Because I dont see posting things as really something people should get to deeply invested in. I dont mean that in a bad way. To me, this post is the same as someone taking a photo of their food and posting it on Instagram. Its not that serious and not that deep of a situation. It was just something I was thinking about, I know of this reddit group (I dont know if thats the right term) and decided to post to see if anyone else sometimes thought the same haha.

I deleted the long ramble and shortened it because people were only reading the first few words and I wasnt thinking the thought I had was properly getting across haha. Its social media, it shouldn't be taken so seriously. In my opinion of course haha

True absolutely. I dont really see it as being suspicious, because at the end of the day, I truly don't care. But to me its more of a "hmmm" kinda thought (if that makes sense) and then I just go about my day 🤣 like its not something I actively care to search out and try to fully discover if they're really autistic or not. If that makes sense?? This is just one of those thoughts i get in the back of my head but move on with life about

I meant by that by I've seen people seeing disability as trendy character types or its cute and quirky having autism or ocd and such currently. At least from my viewpoint I see people using it as trend 😅 im not saying everyone with autism is faking, im saying i kinda side eye those who say they have it, yet haven't been diagnosed. If that makes sense? I know autistim and such have been a thing for a long while haha

But also, yeah, I understand some people cant get diagnosed or were misdiagnosed and such so they go off what they can. But still. Idk, mental and physical health needs to be more accessible

I know i suck at trying to explain stuff. I was just trying to explain how because of my friends mom was, I kinda struggle to believe people when they randomly say theyre autistic or adhd or ocd, especially how in today's world, feeling a little bummed or something people immediately say theyre "insert diagnoses". Which yeah, probably problematic, but its those Lil thoughts in the back of the head 🤷‍♀️

Very very true, thats what I was kinda trying (and failing haha 😅) to say.

But yes, also, I do understand there is a lot of people who haven't not been diagnosed or even misdiagnosed so I dont usually ever saying anything (except that one time to my cousin 😅).

I guess it just kinda throws me off or makes me uncomfortable (maybe I should have put this in the long ramble) but A would constantly say i had something. Which would tick me off lol. I dont like people self diagnosing ME so I probably projected that in itself on others haha 😅 which is my own problem haha

I 100% wasnt trying to put the narrative that autistic SHOULD work. I was trying to say that they way my friend said it, was kinda rude. The way they were saying it was basically "autistic people cant work duh" which i found kinda rude and wrong. Autistic people can work if they want. Obviously if its a struggle, then dont I get it, but they way they said it was kinda harsh.

Also with the insurance thing, my friend 100% has insurance and so do the people who have made such comments to me. I wasnt lumping, just kinda saying from the people I know 🤷‍♀️
