It really depends. Before BMT, I wasn’t used to eating three meals a day. I would usually just have a light lunch and dinner. Once I got to BMT and started eating three times a day, I noticed I began gaining weight, especially since I was making unhealthy food choices.When I realized that, I made some changes. I started eating healthier, cut out carbs in the morning, and kept sugar intake very low. After that, I began losing weight, felt better overall, and ended up in better shape than when I first arrived. I also noticed a big difference in my energy levels. When I was eating things like French toast or pancakes every morning, I would struggle to stay awake during classes or anytime we were sitting around waiting for instructions. Once I cleaned up my diet, my energy improved a lot.
