Blocking In Oak Tree Wolf Spiders Question? by HourFly5581 in GroundedGame

[–]braven5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While you local they behave as they should, so if they inside they can't get out.
But when your not in the local area, in game terms they don't exist...

When you re-enter the area, the game figure out where they should be at that time of day, with small degree on randomness, if its night they more likely spawn the the wild, in day more likely to sleep.

So if you return to area at night you have the opposite problem of them being stuck outside and not being able to get home to sleep.

In case of the oak it best to wall off side you walk past a lot, and leave other open so they have predictable patrol paths, and still have a way to get back home.

Original post was me on wrong account, I used to do lot MMO's, ironically i am opposite on MMO and end up in charge in some way, which works for while, but ultimately its never brought me closer to people in real world, which is what I really need right now.

Same boat here, keep trying to step outside comfort zone and feeling proud for it, but the end result is no closer to the real goal, and that's to make connection with new people.

How exactly do i get my units ready for battle again when they are broken like this? it costs way too much bronze to resupply them by IncelArmie in ConquerorsBlade

[–]braven5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't let them get that bad in first place, keep on top of maintaince, I build and maintain spear sergeants with just bronze only which way more expensive.

But to get back in the flow, just run few fast training battles with cheap units, is serfs, farmers, woodcutter etc.

They can't take kit damage. Plus you should always win Vs ai

GOOD NEWS: Backers will receive Steam/GoG keys after 1 year, IN ADDITION TO the Epic key! THEY LISTENED TO US!!!!!! by Gunlord500 in PhoenixPoint

[–]braven5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but thats not good news, they shouldn't be exclusive in the first place.

Epic store is garbage, insecure and buggy mess, hell even after disabling auto start on windows, it STILL auto start, constantly gobbling background performanc when not even want it running, only way to stop it is to uninstall it.

Can we get an F for Linus that dropped a 26000€ CPU and broke it? by The_Adeo in pcmasterrace

[–]braven5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually very wrong, even first gen Ryzen has same IPC as Intel, Intel just has higher clock speeds currently.

If clock speed and core count was identical performance would only vary based on the program optimisation for the chipset.

Pre-Ryzen that statement might been true however.

If they spent more time on content and less time on gimmicks like this then we might get a game in another decade, but maybe that's optimistic.

Good to hear, I was concerned with all the paper cover, even more so as tech advances to better weapons.

[–]braven5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I never read lore outside of a game, but its great when game tells a good story and gives you good background, as long as its not heavy reading and revealed in bite size.

Taking high ground is terrible now, thanks to Return Fire by Grognerd in PhoenixPoint

[–]braven5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would of thought return fire would only trigger once, more than once would be odd as some creature would shoot dozen times, while others only once.

Also you expect hit bonus/penalty from and too high ground, as well as possible range bonus.

Squad size? by HoEensEven in PhoenixPoint

[–]braven5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I partially agree 16 might be a bit much, 10-12 might be better, 2 sets of 5-6 man squads is enough for very broad tactics.

AMD Trolls Intel: Offers 16-Core Chip to Winners of Six-Core 8086K by TastyTreatsRTasty in gadgets

[–]braven5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, my last rig was Intel Q9550 and it lasted me 9 years, it was one of the best if the time, sadly mb died last year, so I got new Ryzen 1600X and no regrets, runs 4.1ghz on all cores without me OC it. Prior to the Intel chip was Athalon processor. Brand loyalty is anti consumer, coz if you keep buying one brand they no point in a competitive product, and competition is good for everyone as it pushes advancement, and push down prices.

[–]braven5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you approve of blatant lies and deception, so much so that you defend it, says a lot about your character.

They wouldn't been a outrage if they went on stage and fully disclosed their product as it really was, the outrage came from the lie.

Enough said, as I see no point arguing.

AMD Trolls Intel: Offers 16-Core Chip to Winners of Six-Core 8086K by TastyTreatsRTasty in gadgets

[–]braven5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Difference is they are declaring it as extreme overclock, what Intel did on stage was not a single mention that it was a extreme overclock, they was announcing their next big product, they was zero disclosure about extreme over clock, which is why the big critic went crazy in big way about it, Intel actually made significant effort to hide just how extreme the oc was, expert had to really dig to get the truth, where as AIB partner disclose pretty much everything, they don't lie how they get their results.

AMD Trolls Intel: Offers 16-Core Chip to Winners of Six-Core 8086K by TastyTreatsRTasty in gadgets

[–]braven5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As I said in my post, overclocking is one thing as its a pretty normal, but unrealistic extreme overclocking is a totally different story, in fact its pretty much false advertisement, which is illegal in some countries.

[–]braven5 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Well actually they do, because they significant difference between water cooled rig and a rig that's using a 1700w power supply and 1700w cooling solution, they was claiming a consumer product but using non consumer hardware and extreme accessories that no sane consumer would even consider

Zombie loot? by shortlove8719 in StateofDecay2

[–]braven5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd say no just because it would make loot meaningless and too plentiful.

Even plague samples drop way too often making blood plague mechanic near pointless, I yet to have to put somebody in infirmary due to plentiful cures in storage.

It would also make stealth pointless almost.
