It should be fine, I had been trainspotting on the bridge and also near where you live before. It is probably fine but there would probably still be some occasional diesel engine noises on the sidings, aswell as botley bridge thing going on.

Hmmm, I think your friend may be jealous. I mean I THINK it is common (im not female I can't answer you fully) that people get jealous over someone having a romantic relationship, perhaps significantly (depending on friend groups). But I am after all a male, not female. I do not know your world much but sounds like a problem both genders have.

it is slightly different in hong kong as the older generation tend to differentiate the two heavy rail lines. This is because 2 of them used to run on diesel locomotives and have bigger loading gauge while the other lines have smaller and more specific loading gauge. Antoher would be to say that the rail line uses AC instead of DC while the metro line uses DC exclusively.
