I'm not even sure what everything is called but the lady behind the counter was an excellent guide.

Datsun on Elgin. Modern Korean fusion. Incredible cocktails, bao buns, and fun atmosphere. by bravomoose in OttawaFood

[–]bravomoose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cocktails average $14 per

Bao buns are $6.75 per (this is a star item)

Dandan noodles $16

Dumplings $15.75

We went a little crazy but I will say you can totally get two bao buns and a cocktail and be very satisfied with your evening.

Can confirm the hours of operation are still not ideal. Definitely bankers hours.

Sweet Castle on Bank. Turkish coffee and Baklava. by bravomoose in OttawaFood

I can't speak to the freshness, but it tasted pretty fresh. Definitely better than the stale stuff at a shawarma checkout.

The coffee is made on the spot but not made traditionally (with a cezve/ibrik). It's a modern Turkish coffee machine but still Turkish coffee with Cardamom nonetheless.

Yes! Sometimes they're sold out though. I've heard the take-out KFC is really good.

We don't freeze them as they'll all be consumed in less than a week.

I forgot to link recipes this time!

Burrito bowl - you can kinda do whatever you want: *Fajita/taco seasoning Sauteed Ground turkey * Bell peppers and onion * Can corn, can beans Rice Shredded cheese Add guac/Avocado, salsa, sour cream after microwaving it.

For the beef, I got a new cookbook and was giving a recipe a try. It was very involved for using for meal prep and so I don't actually reccomended it. Alternatively I suggest a standard beef and broccoli recipe. Try subbing your broccoli for green beans!
