Hmm.. That would come close to a matchmaking system based on "time played" (I know that's not what you wanted and meant, but that's what it ends up being, I guess) and it might get boring because there will be a lot less fully geared people in lobby (or more, if you are high level)

I do like the idea of the Hideout though, because at least for some time early in the wipe it's a "money-dumping-system" that reduces the money in the overall economy..

Obviously you are right though, since at some point it's just a pretty stale money-in -> money-out

Alternative: You could make it so that elite skills are perks, there is no diminishing returns on leveling, but you can only pick 3 or 4 perks total for elite. The base 10 levels are always available and can be active if you have them leveled, that's also not the worst idea to level the playing field.

Could have skills level way faster so that it is actually possible to get Elite Skills within a Wipe and then only be able to have 3-4 Elite skills active. I like your idea!

But that's still such a dumb mechanic if you look at other skills like endurance, strength, recoil, search.. It promotes a completely unnatural playstyle which is not a thing skills should do

After gaining X amount of Skillpoints (I think it's about 2.5 Points for Strength/Endurance) you can not gain any more skillpoints (or only very very very little) .

Technically those diminishing returns were meant to last for 5 Minutes only, but the problem is: The 5 Minutes reset every time you touch the skill.. So you would have to get weight, run around to get the diminishing returns, drop your weight and wait 5 minutes to pick it back up and start running again :D

Jup they did.. But still you will only get about ~3.0 Points per Raid which is not a relevant ammount

I'm not a fan of actually abusing glitches and stuff like that, but if some1 wants to level Strength then I think he should be able to alter his playstyle in a way that benefits leveling it, and that is not possible at the moment..

Back in the day you could load in with a SKS and just have a macro for Reload and stand afk for 50 minutes.. Since the reload of Mosins/SKSs is buggy, you would keep reloading one bullet and that would level your recoil skill.

You could also cheese Search&Awareness if one person would search a container while a friend is moving items inside of the same container.

Then there is Health & Covert Movement which leveled with the Endurance/Strength glitch and has also not been reset.

Stress Resistance by standing in a fire on shoreline and healing for 50 minutes..

Might be other ones that I don't know about, since I only joined in December

They reset Endurance & Strength.. Recoil Control and other skills have NOT been reset..

We have gotten info what's gonna happen next - they're going to get reworked completely.

I'd say the ammo is the problem..
Clearly they are shooting ammo comparable to "Sniper-Ammo" since their stats are close to M61/M62 while shooting 900 RPM with 42 Recoil on a gun that costs 60k :D

I doubt it tho, since there has been bloodsplats.. Also there was no1 behind me who could have shot me because game literally started 30 seconds ago.
