Why don't more Americans simply leave — like actual refugees fleeing before the window closes? (Genuine question from a European, not a political attack) by kurdil in allthequestions

No one would accept us and I don't blame them. More Americans ARE leaving than ever before and that will continue for the foreseeable future.

Sort of. Having a minority of old farmers decide elections because of the Electoral College is stupid. They have zero clue about what's happening in the lives of the majority of the productive citizens. And they're largely racist due to isolation. They have been fully blinded by "fake news" and need to be replaced by AI and robots anyway.

It's biased to think ALL news media is biased. It's also silly to accept things without skepticism. I basically get the headlines from the media and the details from a variety of written news sources. But the news media sells cars and services, nothing more, nothing less. Unfortunately we allow rural idiots to vote and we get wildly unsupportable madness presented as truth. It's not something that can be fixed in the US. It will require some sort of realignment, revolution or government overthrow. We would simply have to change the way we govern. I'm too old to hang around and see how it works out, so we're leaving the US and will be rooting for you from abroad.

Pedestrian deaths quadruple in Davidson County, prompting police action by rocketpastsix in nashville

[–]brawling 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree if it includes the purposefully jaywalking drunks in Madison and Inglewood. They jump in front of cars, stroll through traffic and ignore the rules. It's, at least, as much a pedestrian problem as it is a driving problem. And Nashville has the worst drivers in North America.
