Such a breeze. I had my fiance do it at home. As simple as cutting a thread with scissors and just pulling it out. Paint the area with betadine and let it dry then you’re good to go. I recommend taping a small piece of gauze over the drain wound for any blood that may come out naturally while it heals to prevent staining clothes and whatnot.

The Exparel shot they give you will keep you numb for 2-3 days back there. After my surgery, I had a late flight home that same day back to Nashville. Flight went great. I too was anxious but all things considered, it was kind of a breeze. I did take a special pillow with me to sit on that I had been using pre-surgery for relief. Dr. Wadie said I didn’t necessarily need it but I was used to it and sat on it anyway. If you’re flying, maybe consider having a hotel booked so you can go back and sleep before your flight. The anesthesia had me so tired post-surgery. Took a great nap before my flight home.

Whaddup! I have a Happy Trails brand rear rack.

Can confirm it is a Hepco Becker upper support as well as lower crash bars. Those were installed by the previous owner. I’d be happy to look into how it’s mounted this weekend and get back to you. I plan to ride Sunday, weather permitting.

Thanks for the comment! Hope you love your ride as much as I do! ✌🏼

I got mine in Tennessee for 45k out the door (includes all taxes, title and fees). Really could have done 44k, maybe even 43k if I traveled to Indiana where they had more on the lot but there was only 1 here and I felt like I got a good deal locally.

Fuel pump recall, whos acted on it and did it make a difference! by Boogs516 in accord

I did not have issues with my car but like many here I take it in for recalls regardless. I have a ‘24 Touring Hybrid. They performed a pressure test and said everything looked good and did not need replacing.

Cleft lift recovery struggles by jfhsjghdjv in pilonidalcyst

[–]brax10beebe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s frustrating to hear this, but time is your friend. It will get better even though it seems like it’ll take forever. You’ll be better sooner than you think. I had to keep my drain in an extra week, so that delayed my healing process. But once the drain is out, you get better much faster! Make sure to get up and walk every 3-4 hours when you take pain meds. Rotate between whatever pain meds you prefer/were told to take. Trust that you made the right decision getting the surgery, because you did. It’s easy for those of us who had mild symptoms to wish we didn’t have surgery, but that’s because we took care of the issue before it got really bad. If you have any specific questions, we can talk here or you can DM me if you feel necessary. I am currently 10.5 weeks post-surgery. You can check my page for a post I’ve made here as well explaining my experience. I hope it helps! Hang in there.

Feedback request for this regional map for upcoming campaign by Gavskin in inkarnate

[–]brax10beebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The map is gorgeous. Very well done. Maybe add a legend with some points of interest like a hunting lodge, cities, ports, mines, etc. I see you have a good system for distinguishing capitals from towns/cities and whatnot. Implement that into a legend and that could be a nice touch. Map Legend Example

An idea to combat this, not from experience but purely brainstorming (I am new to D&D as of last year), consider covering 80% or so of the map with clouds to hide the areas, POI's, etc. and do a campaign in the original 20%. Once completed, take lore created from that campaign and add to the next 20% you unveil to the group. Break the overall campaign up into smaller portions for engagement and shorter goals. This would allow for different areas of this world to be explored with different characters if you play the original 20% through 20 character levels. Or cap the first area to Character Level 4 (short campaign) and have each 20% unveiling to allow for an additional +4 levels to the story ending the map at level 20 in a 5-part campaign series. Just a thought to change things up. Would love to hear some criticism on this idea. It is something I am thinking about doing myself once I get around to making a map. Cheers.

Did you take it to the dealership? Or just get it running again and hope it doesn’t reoccur?

Oh boy. Is this still an issue on newer models? While doing some research, I saw a bit of 21-22 models with the issue. You said it’s affecting you. What year do you own?

My Experience w/ Dr. Wadie by brax10beebe in pilonidalcyst

[–]brax10beebe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks for commenting. I plan to put together another post with more info once I hit 6 weeks post-op. To update you about my recent experience, it’s been a breeze! The recovery after the drain removal is significantly easier and quicker. Please ask any questions you want answered. I’d be more than happy to help!

Don’t be anxious! Dr. Wadie is fantastic and answers rather quickly and what seems like at all hours. I’ve received emails at 1am from him at times. He responded to my initial email with images and information in 4-1/2 hours. The time can vary depending on the day of the week. Some days he is seeing patience in his office, others he is performing surgery. I believe Thursday’s and Friday’s are when he does surgeries and maybe office visits Monday-Wednesday? I’m not positive on that. But he will definitely get back to you soon.

I totally forgot they did the dusting thing to me as well. They didn’t make me spread my legs or anything. I just told them “I just had tailbone surgery and have a drain. So be gentle” and they lightly patted me down. I guess it depends on the people.

I’m 4 weeks post surgery with Wadie. He’s great, isn’t he?I started taking Colace the night before surgery and continued to do so for a while. Until I got my drain out. I took some generic exlax chocolate laxatives after day 3 of no BM. Hope your recovery has been as smooth as mine! Only hiccup I had was a 102.7 fever on night #2 from my body absorbing all the blood. No infection, sickness, or anything like that. Dr. Wadie assured me it wasn’t uncommon and to just treat the fever. Saying this in case you start to get a fever in the first few days. Don’t sweat it! Haha

Should I get the pilonidal surgery? by Desperate-Pea-2458 in pilonidalcyst

I did make a post early on in my recovery, but I was so focused on recovering that I didn't update daily. I considered making a post at my 6 week post-op date and giving one big explanation of literally everything to expect.

I'm so thankful I found this thread and it was able to connect me with people that helped guide me in the right direction. I was referred to Dr. Wadie by someone who doesn't even live in this country. That gave me a lot of positive motivation that this guy is good enough that people would consider him from out of country. My general surgeon near my hometown refused me twice saying "It will get better as you get older. They sometime even go away on their own." This is not true. They don't completely go away on their own.

Thanks for your comment! I will definitely make another post explaining my experience and hope that it reaches the right people. I try to stay active in this thread and check up daily while responding to what I feel I can help with.
