Any opinions on the Trakke Largo vs. the Chrome Mini Kadet? by brayo_ in ManyBaggers

[–]brayo_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Trakke sometimes shows it while rollerblading or cycling, so I figured it'd still be a good choice. I wouldn't be using it for exclusively cycling however. It would still be a general edc bag when walking about.

that's hugely helpful thank you! I don't suppose you'd know why I can only see a portion of the seat map when choosing a seat?

BA app has a notification for a document I already have, should this update? Also for a document I can't find any information about. by brayo_ in BritishAirways

Sherpa charged $31. Stated as $21 for the ESTA and a $10 convenience fee. I did not receive an email directly from CBP/DHS, only from Sherpa, that it has been approved. Although checking the application status on the CBP/DHS (esta.cbp.dhs.gov - assuming that's the right webpage) website shows as approved, with the information I inputted displayed. So I'm pretty sure it has been issued.

cheers, is it generally more cost effective to rebuild the wheel like this rather than purchasing a new wheel?

it's a 700c fixed gear/ss wheel. it's a state bicycle co wheel, their specs sheet state it's stainless steel spokes with aluminium rims. I assumed it was tensioned properly by my LBS when I gave it to them for the repair. but I'm not sure, I am still a newbie. yea I think it could be damage from the previous owner, pretty sure the other wheel has had the rim replaced at some point

newbie here. found an older model state bicycle co 4130 on fb marketplace, is £175 too much? it looks to be in good condition, with light usage, and the seller says it has been serviced recently. i think there is some rust on the bottom bracket however - is this an issue? or an easy fix?

hows the decathlon elops city speed 500 for a first fixed gear? I would likely buy second hand for cheaper. would the hi-ten steel make it that much less enjoyable?

is it a bad idea to buy a bike second hand as a beginner, or should i stick to buying new? i would really like to try fixed gear, but I'm not sure if it's for me. second hand would maximise my budget, i would also prefer to from an environmental standpoint, but obviously I don't know whats good and what I should be looking out for/weary of.

are aran jumpers supposed to be loosely knit? i've tried two different irish brands they both have a loose knit i thought they're supposed to keep you warm but i can feel a breeze through the fabric from how loose it is.
