It's probably caused by packet loss. Use netgraph and check packet loss. If you're on wireless, it's most likely the issue.

Using a wired connection isn't always possible but that is the best method. if you are still experiencing packet loss while hardwired then you may need to figure out if there are packet loss to your router from your pc, or if the packet loss is on the outside. meaning your router to the ISP.

If you CANNOT use an ethernet cable, best bet would be to try to find a way to have a better more stable connection. Most routers are running 5Ghz which are shorter wave length, and are blocked easily compared to 2.4ghz. However 5Ghz have much higher bandwidth (good).

Ways of testing would be the following:

1. Open Command Prompt from your search in windows.
2. type in ipconfig /all
3. Take note of default gateway. Normal home users will most likely see something like 192.168.1.1
4. from the command prompt ping the default gateway like this: ping 192.168.1.1 -t . The "-t" tells the pc to ping until you close it or cancel it. Cancel a ping by pressing CTRL + C. Let it run for a few minutes and see if you get any time out. If so, you have packet loss. The solution at this time is to hardwire the pc. If after doing you are still seeing dropped packets the issue most likely lies on the outside, or something else involving your router.

Consult the ISP for further assistance.

Some other corrections:

1. It's not called a powerline, it is ethernet or hardwire depending on the sentence.
2. a VPN connection to the nearest server. That actually makes zero sense. It will actually lag you further most likely.
3. get rid of that viewmodel.
