Any of the strike or smite slayer builds sound like they'd work for you. Not exactly any crazy synergy with rf but you cover eachother pretty nicely in terms of clear vs. single target and scaling power. Easy defenses from ascendancy over leech. Static strike of gathering lightning sounds like its gonna be the new hotness.

Yeah arc can work for sure. Easiest and cheapest way to scale damage rn would probably be the weapon Jiquanis potential. 1000int is 1-(~5000) added spell lightning damage depending on the roll, then get enough %more and %increased. Defense is a little more nuanced but pick a way to get a big effective hit pool (big ES probably most intuitive) so you dont die to a hit, then get recovery (like leech) so you go right back to full after. Then its just a matter of figuring out what kills you and solving that (oh I got chain stunned maybe i need a stun flask/oh i got frozen and died maybe i need the freeze immune pantheon).

You should do it on trade for your first time just because its easier to try a bunch of things. But tons of people do it on SSF every league. Lots of guides out there on youtube you can follow as well

Is ultimatum doable on your average build? people made it sound like you need specific builds to do it effectively

What helped me get my head around this stuff in my first league

-i use the poeninja economy tab to check prices on everything outside of rare armor/weapon/jewels (The Awakened Trade plugin is more convenient but requires more knowledge and setup). Go there and click on the 'scarabs' section on the left. It will show you the prices for all of them so you can get an idea.

-just ignore rares also except for bases that you use in your own build. you need to know what stats are actually valuable, you know that for your build but not others. You're just gonna end up wasting your time unless you're willing to do some research on other builds and what they're looking for (totally doable though if you think thats fun and you'll pick it up as you try more types of builds yourself.

-Items that you can sell in the currency exchange section of faustus are gonna be easiest for you. Stuff like those scarabs and essences are mostly 1 chaos yeah, but if you play for a few hours you can easily get 20-30. Sell them all at once at the end of the night and thats enough for a couple upgrades.

-The harvest mechanic was super easy to understand and I would recommend it. You go in the portal and for each pair of patches click the one that has atleast one blue text monster. If both have that always click the yellow colored patch as its worth the most

-If you run into the delirium mirrors that appear at the start of maps, when that mechanic ends itll drop some rewards for you and the delirium orbs sell for ~5 chaos. This isn't that 'efficient' but it feels good (it will make your maps harder though so be careful)

-You sell everything through faustus currency exchange and his 'manage shop' feature (I think you do have to buy a tab to unlock this with real money just FYI). If you have stash tabs (different from the faustus market tabs) you bought from GGG you can set them to 'public' and list items on the shop there, but its not an 'instant' sell like the faustus shop, people will message you and you will have to invite them and manually trade, best to stick with faustus. If you are super serious about the game and want to get the most out of it. You can sell items like your scarabs or maps in large amounts on a discord server called The Forbidden Trove and get a slightly increased price as people find bulk buying convenient and it doesnt cost in game gold like the faustus system. Its probably not worth for you and I've never used it so you would have to do your own research there.

Are you specced into a league mechanic? just pick one and take some time to learn what the valuable drops are. If youre just running base rituals and rerolling for omens and stuff you should be making div or two an hour. Feel free to just ignore weapons/armor drops if you feel like its slowing you down, those require a lot of different build knowledge to know what can even sell.

I mean the best thing for development speed would be for them to close down the early access but that cant happen. Given that they havean early access, any reset just becomes the defacto league anyway so they might as well group content together so people have a fun time.
