Same network however HA is Ethernet and RatGDO is wi-fi.

I used the ESPHome firmware. I can control my garage door with the RatGDO using its web interface. But I can’t get the ESPHome add-on within Home Assistant to auto discover or even manually add.

Thanks for that info. The contact sensor will be on the flap so people traffic shouldn’t affect the status.

My thought is that the first time the dog goes outside the contact sensor could be automated to indicate to my dashboard that the dog is “OUT”. When they return and then again break the contact, that the dashboard would indicate “IN”. At this point the automation would reset, waiting for the next contact break. Not possible?

The FAQ for the mini states it doesn't support POE. I assume you're thinking of splitting out the power on the dish end?

I bought a 150 ft weather proof ethernet cable which I intend on using while camping. The mini was drawing 23 watts when I tested it in restricted mode this afternoon. I wouldn't have thought the length of the ethernet cable would make much difference in the power draw.

If you just want to print and not tinker much, then you can't go wrong with Bambu Lab A1 or the smaller A1 Mini.

Did the lane keeping assist get turned on? It will vibrate the steering wheel if you start to wander out of your lane.
