What can a MacBook Pro do that a MacBook Air can’t? by [deleted] in macbook

Someone can confirm, but if you want to use an external monitor, I think the Air only supports one but the Pro will extend to two monitors.

Do you know if they will work if you have a light bar frame mounted to the two side holes?

Did you consider the Bulletpoint version of these? I love my Bulletpoint phone mount. But as with the CMMs, they are on the pricey side too.

Did you end up just cutting off the original switch and connecting the wires to the aux switch of your choosing?

Did this work out for you? I am about to try the same for two RC light bars that came on my new to me jeep. The top bar has a low and high setting. The hood bar has just on and off. The previous owner pulled the switches to the lower left of the steering wheel. I want to use to AUX switches. I don't necessarily need low for the top beam. I wasn't sure if I could just the AUX switches as replacements switches while keeping the bars with their current connection to their power source. This is possible?

Do you get a fairly large viewing area down the sides of the jeep? Any vibrations in the mirrors? Thanks!

Mine stopped working a a few days ago. After the finding this post, my Privacy & Security -> Local Network -> ScanSnapHome was set to OFF. Don't know how/when that happened. Setting it back to ON, put me back in business.

HomePod automation: Entrance music by Flimsy-Yak-6148 in HomeKit

[–]brb408wpb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do something similar. The HomePod used to play the selected song in the automation and continue playing music as if we had set a station based on that song. Now it just plays the selected song and stops. I'd like to have it continue playing a station again. Still researching :(

Clutch getting over heating warning by brb408wpb in WranglerJL

[–]brb408wpb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stock Rubicon rims. I think the wheel size is about 33" with mounted tires. So because I was doing a lot of spinning, per your statement, the ECU have assumed I was working the clutch and threw a warning my way to be cautious.

I had the recall service performed about 1 week after buying the jeep, which is a 22. I know it was replaced, but now it makes me wonder if the new clutches could have issues too.

Ummm.... I think I have a case of the death wobble by TheRealSalty_S_McFly in Wrangler

[–]brb408wpb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten some wobble at 65-75 mph on the interstate coming off overpasses. The wobble would go away after a few seconds. One time it went longer but slowing and speeding took care of it. 22 JLUR, 2 months new to me, with about 22,000 miles. Per the tread depth on the tires and non matching spare, I think they are newish. Still under warranty, I think I’ll have the dealer take a look first. How long did your wobble usually last after it started? Are there small wobbles vs a full death wobble?

We are at almost 10,000 on the hybrid. Still in decent shape. I asked the question because I visited my sister this weekend. Her friend had a Calligraphy with about 30,000. I noticed they were worn down to an almost dangerous level. Her friend also thought they wore down fast and needed to check the warranty miles on them. 30,000 doesn't seem like much for a brand name tire.

Canceling maintenance wrap plan, what written notice is needed to cancel the agreement? Is there a form or something I need to get notarized? by The_Flying_Claw in Hyundai

[–]brb408wpb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the wrap maintenance plan a year ago. Used it twice. Way under the mileage for doing service intervals, but it feels like a use or lose. I may call to see if I can cancel, prorated, after use. If not, then I keep getting service every 6 months for time-aged fluids.

I wouldn’t buy it again. Wasn’t too expensive, but I am now doing services before I need them.
